I don’t know how to react to: “Minzy leaving doesn’t change anything in the long run”. I don’t know if it’s that they think I’m dumb enough to not be able to make calculations going into the conversation, or if they really are that dumb. Given how they stay a multi-million dollar company from being good at what they do, it's probably the former.

So the logic we're being told to follow is that 2NE1 only contributed to 2% of revenue in 2015 and pretty much all of that is from royalties in digital sales.
Two things we can draw from that:
This ignores the fact that they didn't get to promote all year, and that 2% is royalties simply from stuff they did before. It's like saying a football player didn't score a single goal while keeping the guy on the bench all year, so that way of looking at things pisses me off.
Estimates from that 2% gives:
2NE1 generating $3.37m in revenue
Over $487k in profit
$195k after YG takes a cut
$48,600 per member in 2015
Notes: Of the $168.5m in revenue, 2NE1 made under $3.37m. Applying the average profit margin for the year, that's about $487k but with there being very little in the way of costs since they didn't even promote all year, that's a very conservartive estimate. So we would say they made at least $487k in profits. 60:40 seems to be the prevailing opinion over YG profit sharing, so we'll go with what the public believe and we get at least $196k for the group and $48,600 per member.
So we're probably looking at an income level of $50k per member per year. Putting that in perspective: that's the average income level in America. 2NE1 members made exactly as much as an average Joe in America in 2015 because they didn't have promotions.
And now you turn around and say she doesn't matter in the long run for the company. Even if you're not a fan of the group, you can see why Minzy would have been frustrated and seeing their reaction just makes me want to flip tables and do something else to distract me.
Remember that time you cancelled the 2NE1 comeback for a measly little single at the end of last year? Maybe you should have gone ahead with it instead of postponing it indefinitely.
