POEMA A YGGDRASSIL.

No importa qué tan alta, turbulenta y fría esté la marea, no importa qué tan fuertes y cerca estén nuestros enemigos.

No importa nada, porque con nuestros escudos, hachas y espadas defenderemos las fronteras.

Si el abismo se acerca nuestros guerreros no se alejan.

Amor, lealtad y compromiso nos rendimos entre todos.

Siempre vencemos para brindar con hidromiel y nos incentivamos gritando Skål.

Con ustedes mis hermanos, llegaré hasta el final sin titubear ni parar. Hemos venido a triunfar cada uno de nosotros al estar aquí para pelear. Que el miedo no importe, porque estamos en manada.

Y aunque la vida se nos escape en la lucha y en el mar, hemos venido a ganar.

Whew! This was a blast and a challenge and all kinds of fun to work on. Played around with the Vivid Light blending mode for the claws and gems, and it turned out pretty cool. Encantrassil was in dire need of a redesign - the branches were a pain in the butt and she looked a lot like a shaved bear (intentional at the time, but not the brightest idea in retrospect). I feel this new design looks more legendary, and just plain better overall. I'd actually wanted to do this as my first pseudo-Sugimori drawing way back when, but I'm glad I waited. #??? Encantrassil (enchant+Yggdrassil, shortened to fit 12-character limit, also sounds kinda like "enchantress") Mystic Heart Pokemon Rock/Grass Gender ratio: Genderless Breeding: Undiscovered Base stats: 130/80/145/80/155/90 Ability: Eternal Vitality - This Pokemon cannot be burned or poisoned. Ct: Encantrassil is said to have awakened at the dawn of time, creating the Symphora region and imbuing the land with its mystical energy before returning to its slumber. Ar: Legend has it that at a time when nothing existed but a barren landscape, Encantrassil breathed life into the Symphora region and into its three catalysts of power. Signature move: Healing Roots - Type: Ground - Category: Special - Power: 90 - Accuracy: 100 - PP: 10 - Opposing Pokemon are entangled in mystical roots. The user and its ally are healed by a portion of the damage dealt. (75% of total damage to all targets is split evenly between all active allies.)

Finally got the digital version of Encantrassil done! I was originally going to attempt to draw it Sugimori-style (which I have been itching to try since I got the tablet), but then I realized that Encantrassil's design was too elaborate for a first attempt. So I did the usual and vectored it instead. I made a couple of changes from the original drawing, specifically the vines being glowy-rune-markings in this version, and the moss and leaves on its neck being rearranged.
