Pelle Ohlin's Death
Back on April 8, 1991, famous black metal singer and front man of Mayhem was found dead by his bandmate, Øystein Aarseth, best known as Euronymous.
He was last seen on April 5, but later found on April 8.
Pelle Ohlin, or Dead, was found dead with his wrists cut in a vertical line and a two way bullet hole in his head. Pellen had previously cut himself and then shot himself in his room.
The death of the front man affected the people around him, even if they knew about his suicidal intentions. Pelle had previously shown signs that he was already planning on committing suicide, things like acting more cheerful around others or sending his brother a collection of books he liked.
If you ever feel like life is meaningless or a friend feels that way, you can always call or text the suicidal hotline, 988. This will connect you to your closest 988 Lifeline Crisis Center.
Bard Faust's Interview, Found In Black Metal Chronology
INTERVIEWER: I had asked you if you were a violent person before the murder, and I told you that I know a few people who are very charismatic, polite, and sociable… but sometimes something sets them off and they become incredibly violent. I would like to know if you are generally the same way.
FAUST: I think if you ask people generally, they will say I am nice, polite and well-mannered (hopefully – haha) and I always try to have a good attitude towards things. My fuse is quite long and it normally takes a time before something really angers me. Earlier I could really take off when losing control, but nowadays the anger has calmed. I am more a relaxed person now, more in harmony with myself. I think I have got a much better self-control now, than for, let's say, 7-10 years ago, much thanks to weight-lifting and boxing in the prison which is a good way to get out aggression. I always try to analyze myself; to try figuring out why I react to things the way I do in order to gain even better self-insight since I would never put myself in a situation again where I intentionally wants to hurt people physically.

Euronymous' And Dead's Interview Found In 50Megs
INTERVIEWER: For a long time the band didn't have a reh. place, what did you do during this time?
DEAD: "Good question ........After that we couldn't be at the old VOMIT's place anymore we had for a very short time our own place (2 weeks or so) before they cut of the electricity and later on tore down the whole place......By then Hellhammer had joined the band. What we did then was to find somewhere to live (well, some things go before rehersal place). We could stay for some month mostly at each place and those have been at friends, half broken down houses, forests and camping places etc.......... But luckily it's much better now, even if we can't stay here so much longer. For really long time we were out of any place to rehearse at all and what we could do then for the band was not much else than replying on the mail."

INTERVIEWER: Now much material have you written which you have thrown away? How many songs do you have now?
EURONYMOUS: "Probably 50-75% of all the riffs I make will be thrown away sooner or later, because after a while it is not good enough. I don't want to make any mainstream music, so each riff must be something special, and then it takes very long time to make the music. We have five new songs now ("Funeral Fog", "Buried By Time and Dust", "The Freezing Moon", "Pagan Fears" and one new without any lyrics), but if you're thinking about the total number of songs which we have and will play live, it's nine songs + this new one which we will not play live before some time."

Cronos Interview Found In Voices From The Dark Side
INTERVIEWER: When did you decide to use this Satanic image?
CRONOS: Well, right from the start! I mean, that was what Mantas was saying what the problem was, that the other people he had in the band were far too geared into this sort of New Wave Of British Heavy Metal, you know, they wanted to sort of put a bit of make up on and wear green spandex and things and look a little bit more like IRON MAIDEN or SAXON or SAMSON...

Happy birthday to Necrobutcher, who is now turning 56
We love you old man, thank you for continuing the band and not letting it just die.
Quorthon's Interview Found In Grimoire Of Exalted Deeds
INTERVIEWER: They (Speaking of The Inner Circle) speak of some jewish conspiracy. I was wondering if that’s just their own personal political philosophy, or is it entirely a Norwegian way of thought.
QUORTHON: To begin with, without mentioning any names or try to mock down on anybody personally, or a group of people – I think there’s something completely wrong with you if you mix Odinism with Nazism and Satanism. All of these three things don’t have anything in common. If you’re a Satanist you couldn’t be a son of Odin because Odinism doesn’t believe in earthly values in the way that the Satanists are. If you’re a neo-Nazi you wouldn’t be able to play death metal and have long hair. So what we’re talking about here is total ignorance. (Mostly speaking as an overall of the Inner Circle, but could be speaking specifically of Varg Vikernes, best known as Burzum.)
⛧⛧⛧
INTERVIEWER: I Interviewed someone who’s been sentenced to 53 years in prison. He was part of the ‘Diabolical Skinheads,” as the press referred to them. The reason I interviewed him was because of the coverage by the media of the black metal violence.
QUORTHON: Everything does not have to be attached to the label “black metal violence.” You cannot blame an entire genre for what a couple of people are doing. We’re voting politicians into power for four or five years, and they’re the guys who start world wars and drop atomic bombs. I’ve yet to see a death metal fan start a world war or kill six million jews or pollute our oceans.
