born and raised in brooklyn, ny, babyyy.
jess doesn't live there anymore, but it is absolutely not his say-- he currently lives in gotham city against his will. he hates it there. he hates it so GODDAMNED much.
so it's safe to say he rather misses brooklyn.

d: all of the above. not to say he enjoys killing or hurting people, mind you, he's actually got a very weak stomach for that kinda stuff and he's all of 5'7" so the guy never comes out of a fight unscathed. but it's you or him, pal, and that goes doubly if it's joker's orders.
as for two-timing and double-crossing, that comes as natural to him as breathing. the man's a massive whore and even before getting tangled with the gotham underground, he was already a two-bit crook back in brooklyn. all in a day's work, (dis)honestly.
👨👩👧👦- how many people are in your oc's immediate family? how many people are in your oc's extended family? do they have aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, etc? who in their family are they closest with? are they close with their birth family or do they have a found family?
oof-- this is where things get complicated.
his father's deceased, mother ran off with another man sometime in his teenage years, and his younger sister was sent off to live with their grandparents while he was shunned. jess ended up finding something of a mentor-figure in a man named seb (the guy who ushered jess into a life of petty crime) and while the two were close, when jess ran foul of the JOKER-- seb had no trouble turning jess over.
can't really blame the guy for having some trust issues now can you?
things get a little more complicated when a little further down the line, two separate incidents stemming from too much booze and a lack of foresight result in a couple extra additions to the family,,,
