#CDW - CrisCo’s DANCE WORLD

Wassup everybody. You already know who it is… the one and only “CrisCo”. So in this blog I’ll be talking about the world as we dancers know it. Everything else revolves around dance. I’ll be highlighting local events, personal thoughts, some of my favorite recent videos and more. So let’s get started!

Last weekend, I was able to take class from/audition for Choreographer/Artistic Director "Free Boogie". It was really dope and it confirmed a lot of beliefs I have about the industry, etc. Here's a pic of me, Jas & Free Boogie after everything was done. Shouts out to Spectrum Entertainment for making this happen. Really appreciate what they do/have done for the dance community. Check out a recap video they put together from that day as well. Great experience! Watch, listen & learn.

HIGHLIGHTS

Paranoid Android. This dope b-boy explained his reasoning on judging and what he likes to see at battles. He also shared his showcase for the crowd! Both were really dope. All dancers should listen to what he says at the beginning. Really awesome way to put it.

This video? Maaaan! When I started watching this, I felt like I was in another world. The choreography and production is absolutely incredible. The creativity is beyond words. You just have to watch it for yourself!

CJ Salvador & Jaycee Cook

SO YEA. This video was posted last month. I just got around to watching it a couple of days ago. Son... the way these dudes murked this song/choreography? It just isn't fair. I was definitely inspired by this. In my opinion, this is hip-hop! The power and dynamics alone make this ish so LIVE! All of these dudes are BEASTS and it's only PART 1! Watch the video and wild out with me!

. LOCAL EVENTS

So this awesome workshop is going down next weekend, and again.. I can't make it! I really would've loved to take class from David Moore. That would be a first. But I know it's gonna be crazy and I hope everyone gets something out of it. Shouts to Anidia & RhythmX for putting this event on!

The 3x2x1 Tour got off to a great start. Really proud of these guys for starting this up. Their next stop is in Fort Myers. Still mad I wasn't able to catch them here (Orlando), but I think I might try to make it to another stop. Maybe when they hit West Palm. Anyway, videos have been posted and they're all super dope. Taking my first workshop by Ian Eastwood was definitely a good choice! It was definitely a day to remember having to be in the same room as him and learn some of his choreography. He’s just so DOPE. I hate how he can just dance like nothing and it still looks so flipping amazinggggg>.< why can’t I just be him or even better be really good friends with him…I PRAY! :) hopefully ill take another workshop from him very soon <3
