Jimin pulled up to BigHit and shot Jeongguk a quick message letting him know. Using the keycard that Jeongguk has given him he quickly let himself into the building. Having only been there once or twice, he had to ask directions twice to finally get to the area where the practice rooms were situated. When he finally arrived he looked at his phone to see that Jeongguk still hadn’t messaged him back, so he had no idea which room the boy was in. Jimin couldn’t exactly go peeking into every room to find him, so he resigned to just sit out in the hallway.
When ten minutes passed with no word, Jimin was starting to get irritated and was close to calling quits, no matter how badly he wanted to be there for his friend. Suddenly, he heard footsteps and he shot up, hoping that it was the younger boy. Instead of Jeongguk, Jimin stood face to face with a young girl with short hair. She looked very familiar but it took a few moments for it to click. Ryujin. This was the girl that was spreading lies about her and Hoseok. She was the reason that Hoseok got fired. Jimin tried to stop himself from glaring at her.
“You’re Ryujin?” He asked her, the venom obvious in his voice. She seemed nonplussed about his tone and nodded. “You realise that you’re ruining Hoseok-hyung’s life.” This statement seemed to get a reaction from her and she suddenly glared back.
“And who are you?” she spat back.
“I’m Jimin, one of hyung’s boyfriends.” Ryujin blanched at this before stealing her expression.
“Well I’m his soulmate,” she said in return.
“And you think that makes you better than me?” Jimin asked. “You think that you, some random underage girl, really holds a higher place than me, his boyfriend?” He paused, waiting to see if she’d answer but she remained silent. “I’ll tell you what Ryujin, you are nothing. Nothing but the girl that is fucking up Hoseok-hyung’s life and career. He got fired because of you.” She looked at him in shock, having only just heard this news. “Yeah, hyung no longer works at BigHit and he will have a very hard time finding another job now because of you.
“What’s your goal here?” he questioned but didn’t wait for her to respond. “Do you think that spreading rumours about him, he’ll suddenly fall in love with you?” Ryujin turned away from Jimin with tears in her eyes. Jackpot. Jimin scoffed at her. “That’s it isn’t it? You think you’re in love with him.”
“I don’t think! I know that I am!” Ryujin yelled.
“You are a child, you don’t know anything. You have this sick fantasy in your head that you and hyung are going to live happily ever after but you’ve already fucked that up by telling the world about your secret little dance practices. Now you’re just going to make him hate you more.” Ryujin was full crying at this point. “You really need to sort yourself out, Ryujin. I’m sure you’re actually a pretty decent girl, but you need to think about your actions. And you need to not search for love in a man that is seven years older than you.” Jimin’s voice turned soft as he suddenly couldn’t help but feel bad for making the girl cry. Jimin went to turn away from the girl when he felt a hand grab at his shirt. He turned to see the girl looking at him with watery eyes.
“Do you love him?” she asked, causing Jimin to pause. It wasn’t a word that he nor Taehyung had said to Hoseok but he knew immediately the correct answer to the girl’s question.
“Yes.” She nodded at him and let him go.
“Please do the right thing, Ryujin,” he pleaded with her before finally walking away. Jimin didn’t know how much good it would do since the damage was already done but he figured it was better than nothing.
Finally, his phone began to buzz in his pocket. He took it out to see that it was Jeongguk finally getting a hold of him. He answered it, fully ready to scold the boy when Jeongguk panicked voice stopped him.
“Hyung, please help.”
“Hyung, please help.” Those three words sent a lightning bolt through Jimin’s body.
“Jeongguk? Gukkie what’s wrong?” he asked, his voice high with anxiety.
“I don’t know. Hyung, she came out of nowhere!”
“Who, Gukkie?”
“Some girl!” Jeongguk was yelling at this point. “Some girl just came and fuckin’ tased me. Saying some shit about her being Yoongi-hyung’s true soulmate or some shit.” He paused a bit. “Hyung, can you just please come and get me. I’ll explain later.”
“Where are you, Jeongguk? I’m at BigHit,” Jimin said, trying to remain calm.
“Uhm, I’m near the convenience store by the company.”
“I’m on my way, Guk, just stay there.” Jeongguk huffed out a weak laugh.
“Not exactly planning on moving anytime soon,” he replied cynically. Jimin wanted to scold the boy but bit his tongue. Right now, he had to get to Jeongguk and make sure that he was okay. Jimin all but ran out of the building and across the street to the convenience store. There, he found Jeongguk sitting on the ground with his shirt ripped and soulmark showing.
“Guk! Cover that up before someone sees!” Jimin yelled as he ran to the boy.
“It’s too late,” the boy replied. “That girl already saw and took pictures of it. It’ll be everywhere tomorrow.
“Just… tell me what happened,” Jimin demanded. Jeongguk sighed at his hyung.
“I was walking to the store to grab some snacks before you showed up and this girl just jumped me out of nowhere and tased me. She started saying stuff about how I stole Yoongi from her and that she was his true soulmate and she said that she’d be able to prove that I wasn’t his soulmate and then she just came up and ripped my shirt. She tried to accuse me off getting a tattoo like I’m some sick psycho fan like her. Then she took a picture of it and left.” Jimin rubbed a hand on his face and sat down beside Jeongguk.
“We need to call the cops,” Jimin said. Jeongguk groaned at this.
“I barely remember what she looked like, what good is calling the cops gonna do?”
“Jeongguk, we can’t just let this person get away with it! You could have been seriously hurt!” Suddenly, Jimin broke down and began crying. Alarmed, Jeongguk sat in silence for a beat before grabbing his hyung in a tight hug. “I-I was so w-worried!” Jimin leaned back and began smacking Jeongguk chest. “Don’t ever do that to me again or I swear to god, I’ll kill you myself!”
“Yes, yes, hyung I got it. Now stop crying, this shirt is already ruined without your snot all over it.” Jimin chuckled and wiped at the wet spot he’d left on Jeongguk shirt. Once he calmed down, Jimin stood up and offered the other boy his hand.
“C’mon. I’m gonna call Tae and then we all will go down to the police station to report this.” Jeongguk grimaced but gave him his hand nonetheless. He really wanted to avoid any more publicity but it was inevitable now. Soon, everyone would know that he was Yoongi’s soulmate. Soon, Yoongi will know and that scared Jeongguk for some reason. Hopefully, the man wouldn’t be too mad.

Jung Hoseok spun around on his chair with a dopey grin on his face. He was currently sat in his studio staring down at his phone, reading the past conversations between him and his two boyfriends. He felt tense but not in the usual, stressed out kind of way. He felt like a ball of energy, filled to the brim and like he was going to burst. He couldn’t sit still long enough to pour that energy into producing. There was only one thing that could ever cure this abundance of energy. Although he was most well known for producing and the rap mixtapes he’s released, he’d started out as a dancer but he was never able to get anywhere with it professionally.
Deciding that it was useless to stay in the studio, Hoseok got up from his chair and headed out. He figured he’d be more productive after he danced the energy out so he travelled down to the practice room. It was very late, so most of the trainees and idols had gone back to their dorms, but Hoseok still double checked to make sure that the practice room he was entering was unoccupied.
Once he got settled, it was easy to fall into a trance and dance to whatever music was playing off of his phone. Hoseok didn’t even realise when an hour had passed until he was dripping with sweat and panting. Without thinking, he ripped off his soaked shirt, revealing his soulmark on his hip bones. He paused here and studied it for a moment. He never gave much thought in who his soulmate might be. He hadn’t even been thinking about them at all until Jimin had mentioned it. Without fail, the thought of one of his boyfriends brought a goofy smile to his face.
He shook his head to clear the thought of his soulmate and prepared to dance a bit more when suddenly the door to the practice room swung open.
“Oh, I’m sorry!” a girl’s voice called out and Hoseok swung around to see a young girl standing in the doorway. Hoseok recognised her as one of the trainees at BigHit. He watched her pause and her eyes drop down to the direction of his soulmark. Without realising, he’d spun around so that she could perfectly see his mark. Belatedly, he covered his hip with his hand, but she’d already seen it. She released a loud gasp and her face flushed. “You--we--” she stuttered. Then she reached down and yanked up the leg of her sweatpants, showing off her calf muscle and soulmark, which looked remarkably similar to Hoseok’s.
“Wait, what.” Hoseok was dumbfounded. He walked closer to the girl and studied her soulmark before looking down at his own. Remarkably similar was an understatement. Without a doubt, they were the exact same mark, down to the finest of details. “We’re--”
“We’re soulmates!” she finished for him when the word got stuck on the lump in his throat. The girl let out an exasperated giggle, whilst Hoseok merely frowned down at the girl. He couldn’t help but think of his boyfriends at this moment.
“You’re Ryujin, right?” he asked as her name finally clicked in his mind. She nodded at him.
“Shin Ryujin. And you’re Jung Hoseok.” Ryujin smiled up at him as he was several inches taller than her.
“How old are you?” Hoseok questioned. He liked to keep an eye on up-and-coming trainees and those that looked promising and Ryujin was one of them. But her age had eluded him and it was imperative that he know, for his reputation’s sake. She looked away from him as she answered.
“I’m 17 international. I’ll be turning 18 soon,” she replied. Hoseok frowned harder.
“You know that nothing can come of this right?” She nodded sadly. “Not only because you’re underage, but I’m also taken.” Ryujin looked forlorn at this. “And no one can even know about us being...soulmates,” he said with finality.
“What?”
“People would get the wrong idea about us.” Hoseok cringed at the thought. The last thing he wanted was for people to think that he was dating a 17-year-old girl.
“Can I just ask for one thing?” She had a look of hopefulness. Honestly, it was killing Hoseok to be as mean as he was being, but he knew that he had to be firm. He decided that he would at least give her this one thing.
“Sure.”
“Can we dance together? I’ve always wanted to learn from you,” she questioned with a slight pout. Hoseok sighed. He did say that he’d give her this one thing.
“Fine. We can meet after hours and I can show you a few things,” he conceded. “But no one can know!”
“Of course, oppa! No one will know! Thank you!” She gave him a huge grin and said her goodbyes before leaving him alone. Hoseok sighed once again, wonder just what the hell he’d gotten himself into.
