consider: a fic where kaeya meets Ynghildr in the sumeru ruin golem

it’s very much adjacent to when dain and halfdan met in the chasm where ynghildr is not fully state of mind because of the corruption, but she is JUST lucid enough to recognize kaeya / recognize anfortas in kaeya

because listen, anfortas and ynghildr were brother & sister in arms, and since i operate under the firm belief kaeya is directly related to anfortas (whether that’s uncle, dad or grandpa idk) that would sort of make her kaeya’s aunt (great aunt?), no?

so anyways now kaeya + co (traveller and diluc? idk) are exploring the ruin golem and there’s this giant abyssal monster following them around

ynghildrs internal monologue is something along the lines of: intruders. wait shit anfortas? no. wait. mini anfortas. anfortas’s kid??? superiors kid?? my kid

and then kaeyas internal monologue is: ugshnsm the abyss is here. wait no that’s a soldier. thats not a black serpent knight. schwanenritter?? WAIT AUNT YNGHILDR?

            bruises, scars and battle might-- such a mess it all was. 

              Amusement intones bares only a trickster; no joyous morrows of a bard's song, nor the purity of truer reveries. Blanketing foolery only afield amongst bared fruits, no, not of wisdom nor enlightenment-- only dreams. Arched routes baring rotten promises, withheld too within withered seeds of this midst fruit. All remained but illusion, hazy rifts sealing a tightened fate for those whom both appeased and descended.  But a smirk too laced porcelain skin, lips creeping known foolery and pure trickery. Of course, it 'twas all in nature, but also trinket joys on behalf of the stray monarch. Voices parched of aid, parched of mere good intent-- yet how blissful it was to witness. Lone depths they were to abide by this donned figure of even-fall hue, inhumane grace it too was.
