This scene made me think of the following quote,
"Night never had the last word. The dawn is always invincible."
- Hugh B. Brown
Guyssss...
Does no one else have hope that they are gonna introduce yuugo to us somewhere later in the anime..? Am I just way too stupid?
wig: snatched
RIP to the character development Ray undergoes during Goldy Pond that makes this declaration make sense
The anime is just doing fucking whatever I guess
Yakusoku no Neverland, season 2
Also known as The Promised Neverland, season 2.
I have no complaints about season 1, so let’s not talk about that. Season 2, however... well, the first three to four episodes follow the manga well enough, no complaints from this end. But then, we notice there’s no Yuugo. No Yuugo, no Lucas and no freaking Goldy Pond arc! Disappointing, but I kind of accepted that. I accepted the Lambda gang not being nearly as cool as in the manga, and I even accepted the lack of Ayshe with gritted teeth. When I saw the kids taking over Grace Field, I thought that okay, so they’re cutting the show short and only liberating Grace Field. Fair enough.
And then they said Emma and the others were staying behind! For a moment I was honestly excited; I thought that there’d be a third season where they’d overthrow the queen, make a new promise and, if we were lucky, the Goldy Pond arc would be included in it!
...But obviously, that didn’t happen. They stayed behind, only to wrap the show up in a few minutes. Seriously, what? That added absolutely no worth to the show, just made it clear that they wanted to end it quick. It would’ve been better to end it with everyone going to the human world together the first time and leave everything else open. But no, they just had to fuck it up.
