" He exclaimed with a laugh despite the pained aches from the impact ( he definitely was going to have a bump on his head later ). ㅤㅤ" Ah, jeez ... ! You could at least warn me next time, Mochi ! " Regardless, he was absolutely delighted to see her and couldn't resist squeezing her tight while he wore a stupid grin on his face. " What ? Miss your big brother, that much ? Ahaha ... just kidding. " He still felt a bit bashful about referring to himself as her older brother but not that he would have it any other way.

"i thought you would have better balance than that, i'm sorry!" but honestly, it'd been a while since they had aligned..! sometimes missions took them away for such long periods, and it was always nice to reunite when they got a chance!! There's a pause given once the stick finds itself gently applied to his lips. A harmless gesture, one etched with playfulness as the shimmering glance of Kokomi's visage led to a familiar flame pulsing within his heart.

A moment is hardly spared as the decision is burned into action. It was hard to hide the shade of pink adjusting upon his face, nor the certain smile that seals their fates as his fingers balance the center of the stick, angling it so her lips could also find purchase.

"You'd be adding another beloved grace to my day if we're to properly." The first being able to just spend time with her.

"Shall we? I'd like to test our courage on matters like this." A particular possibility leading to a stir of excitement.

HE  DOESN’T  RESPOND  AT  FIRST  ,  INSTEAD  ENGROSSED  IN  their surroundings with his eyes trained on the horizon  :  perhaps he suspected more hostility lurking behind the rubble of the fallen city, but as quickly as the last of the lost had fallen, so too did silence surround them. It’d be deafening, were it not for the distant shuffling of enemies greater in the distance. He releases a sigh and turns to regard his companion now, expression seemingly stoic ‘neath his mask, save for the subtle furrow of his brow.

“  —  you thought I’d listen?”  He was not the type to retreat alone  :  not when he could stand at the side of others who needed his help. Aside from a loss of energy, there’s no real danger in facing such intense battles  ...  but he hadn’t wanted him to get hurt, regardless.  “Death may not be permanent, but that doesn’t mean I want you to get hurt under my watch. I wouldn’t leave you alone, regardless.”  He shakes his head, gaze tearing away from him to look elsewhere now. The injuries he himself had sustained were more grievous than his mannerisms would give away  ...  but they would mend.  “Are you alright, Yakumo?”
