I got to pop in to the Open House festivities at @lakesregiondance_nh last evening, where @christinaalexa1 was sharing her #AerialYoga passion with a group of adventurous students. There are so many fun and surprising ways to play in these silks! If you haven’t experienced the thrill of the silks yet, you gotta visit @yogajayanh and give it a whirl. The first time I tried it I was wayyyyyy out of my comfort zone. (Read: It scared the *#%* out of me! I abandoned all hope of it being in my life in any capacity.) A couple years later, I got the nerve to try it again. To my delight and amazement, I felt the sensation of FREEDOM and FLYING coursing through my veins. It’s just so flippin’ cool. It’s so cool, in fact, that I’m going to be leaping even further out of my comfort zone and diving into #AerialYogaTraining over the next few months. I have extraordinary butterflies just thinking about it. Still, I’m reminded of one of my favorite and helpful quotes by #AlanWatts, “Fear is excitement without the breath,” and I breathe into the giddy anticipation of new and unpredictable adventures. The more I hop onto these unexpected paths, the happier I feel. I’m beginning to formulate a theory: As we get older, the less something makes “sense” to our thinking selves, the more it is likely to be the right course of action, as long as it’s motivated by the gentle, nudging intuition of the heart. ✨❤️🙏🏼✌🏼 Special thanks to @sanniii413 And @kalepoland for our #FunWithSelfies shenanigans in the lobby! 😁🙌🏼 #YogaJayaNH #lakesregiondance #LakesRegionNH #YogaNH #AerialYogaNH (at Lakes Region Dance) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bnbl40IjQkj/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=sgaweu870h0k
