Ice Adolescence Teaser Reaction post based solely on tweets I saw about the teaser because I'm not in Japan myself and can't actually see it yet (spoilers)
Initial Reaction: Disappointment. Without being able to see the teaser, the concept of a 17 year old Viktor skating at the Olympics being the main plotline is underwhelming. We knew it seemed to be a prequel movie focused on Viktor, but I was still hoping for present/post season 1 content. Where's my Yuuri?
Secondary Reaction: Excitement. People were saying the animation was stunning and Viktor looked amazing. They got the actual Olympic license, so I hope they do something great with that. I am hyped to actually see the teaser when they officially release it to the world.
Overall Reaction: Cautious. I'm sure I'll love the movie, whatever it ends up being. But I'm also trying not to get my hopes up too high, because then I will be disappointed, whatever the movie ends up being, because it doesn't match my expectations. I'm still holding out hope for Yuuri... one of the people I follow on Twitter said that Yuuri's VA will be at later showings and is doing press for the movie, so that makes it seem like he'll be in it. Which makes me hopeful. Yuri on Ice has just meant so much to me, that's why I know I'll both love it and be disappointed in it no matter what. So that's why I say cautious.
