This black panther buggered me since the first time I saw this YOI x Animate Cafe merch. 

WHY they chose a black panther instead of his usual teddy bear?

Today, after reading this amazing and heartfelt article (where also Denis’ pic comes from) I got my answer.

I’m always amazed to find love even in the smallest details of Yuri On Ice, and I shouldn’t be surprised. I guess that is why I love this anime so much. Because the love Sayo and Kubo have for figure skating is pouring from everything they do.
