Obscure Characters #5: Yomazu from Fairy Tail

Obscure characters from across cartoons/anime/other stuff that only a select few know/draw or was never heard of because this character is so minor, you literally never heard of it before.

Yomazu is a very very minor antagonist in the large series Fairy Tail, with a lot of power of friendship/nakama power, bad guys who are either redeemed, badly destroyed or just never dies... Yes.

An antagonist in the Grimoire Heart lower than the rest of the ranks (him and Kawazu both). He’s not exactly relevant enough to be a part of the opening of the arc in comparison to the others, which shows how minor he is. And he can damage Gajeel, and that’s as much as his contribution in the arc. The anime gets a little more but honestly... not by much since he’s just trying to fight the leftover characters during the Tenrou Island assault arc. Honestly, a shame that he’s filler for the most part and not even good filler since personally Gajeel should be stronger than that. And he got MIAd from the arc thanks to this too. Honestly... his power’s interesting with him being a japanese version of Levy’s magic but... hmmm... It feels as if he should actually be fighting her more than him against Gajeel. But that’s my 2 cents on that.

I like his design a lot more than Kawazu. If there’s any consolation.

I will never understand how Gajeel had troubles against the chicken & dog duo. Why couldnt he have opponents who are actually a threat and not some mascots of the enemy. It was so weird to watch this since Gajeel seemed so overpowered and yet he had troubles against the two. Yes I enjoyed that Gajevy moment but the fight was strange for me. Luckily most of the other fights were handled better during that arc

I like Yomazu, but fuck the chicken dude.
