In your experience as a student there, what are 5-10 (or less, you pick!) of the best things about Yonsei Uni? I'm considering studying there next year or in a couple years. Thank youuu
Whoops, late reply but here it is!
1.) It’s smack dab in the middle of Sinchon so you can easily walk to Idae and Hongdae - these three areas are university kids’ haven so there’s plenty of things to do on your down time!
2.) I like the way school is just done in general here? You only have like two tests and maybe some papers to write each semester. And the semester is only around three months, so ayyyy!
3.) The campus is gorgeous!! It’s so pretty to walk around and enjoy the sights (except them hills are killer on your legs)
4.) The student cafeteria ain’t that bad. Get your bang for your buck. Lots of cute cafes and restaurants nearby too.
5.) If Steven Capener is teaching then seriously take his course. He is amazing and honestly the best professor I’ve ever had.
6.) The Sports Festival - enough said
7.) As an exchange student, you get to take KLI for free! (But the hours suck; 4-6PM everyday)
8.) Honestly the courses in general are so fucking easy for exchange kids so you’ll be able to explore Korea all you want
9.) People think you’re pretty cool for going to Yonsei, ayyy
10.) I mean this is just personal for me but I have a lot of friends who go to Underwood so it’s nice to be able to, you know, have people I can see on campus and hang around during events.
And that’s about it? Sorry there isn’t really any good, concrete reasons. Any university you go to will be an amazing experience as an exchange student. All depends on where you want to be centered at and how upscale you want your university to be~
