Throwing all the mcs from the idol regression novels i read into one group is hilarious to think about. So far i have kim iwol (amkhi), seo hoyun (trashy pd), moondae (dod), yoon eden (insincere idol), seohan do (my comeback), and rex (malicious member). Ive left out the stories that i havent read at least the first 80 chapters of yet, i'll have to see if theres anyone else i want to add later.
I need to find everyones stats again, but off the top of my head rn yoon eden is the producer, kim iwol does everything related to concepts, group image etc, moondae would probably be lead vocalist, seo hoyun does his shady stuff, seohan do is the maknae (i think hes got good vocal stats?), rex as the main dancer (i need to double check but im pretty sure of that).
As soon as iwol finds out that moondae takes good pictures its over for him lol, 500 pics of each member per day. Yoon eden will probably get jumped by iwol and seo hoyun at least once because of his attitude, iwol would probably make him sit through many lectures and homework for a long time. I think that seo hoyun would quickly clock rex's addiction habits (alcohol and long term panic disorder meds). Seohan is a perfect angel compared to these other guys, theyre definitely putting him and moondae at the front whenever they need someone cute since all the rest of them have been described as various iterations of 'scary.'
Kim iwol: cold prince scary.
Seo hoyun: i forgot exactly but he can be extremely threatening.
Author's Note: It's Yoon Eden's birthday so I wrote this in an hour yesterday on my own birthday. Because I have completely normal feelings for him. Shoutout @stuffandsundry for the idea <3
Happy birthday Eden!!

"Dobin hyung," Ryu Jaehee said, staring with puzzlement over the back of the couch. "What are you doing?"
Without tearing his gaze away from the cards leaning against one another, Kim Dobin answered, "I'm stacking things on top of Eden hyung while he sleeps." He cautiously removed his hands from the cards and breathed out with relief when they stayed put.
Jaehee asked, "How bored are you?"
"Very."
Jaehee looked at Gyeon Hajun, who sat on the floor next to Dobin right by Yoon Eden's legs. Hajun smiled in response. He seemed to have given implicit permission for this, since he was leisurely reading while his younger group member messed around with his best friend's unconscious body.
Jaehee looked back to where Dobin had started adding new cards to create a tower. It was a little impressive that it hadn't fallen down yet—
Spoke too soon, as a small shift caused the cards to scatter across Eden's chest and the couch. Dobin muttered a censored curse and started picking them up one by one.
Ryu Jaehee considered this.
It had been a while since they found Yoon Eden completely unconscious in his studio and decided to wait for him to wake up instead of going to the hospital. Hajun sat himself in front of the couch and hadn't moved since but the rest of them had been in and out to check on him. Other than not waking up no matter what they did, Eden really did look like he was just in a very, very deep sleep. While they were still worried, their initial anxiety had waned a little in the hours that passed.
So Jaehee didn't feel too bad about grabbing a magazine and setting it over Eden's legs.

Thirty minutes later, Seo Yehyeon stared down at them in much the same way Jaehee had earlier. "Are you guys stacking things on top of Eden's unconscious body?"
"Yeah hyung, wanna join us?" Dobin asked, grinning mischievously though his attention was still focused on the cards.
After a few tries, his tower was holding up well in the first layer and he'd managed to start on the second. Meanwhile, Jaehee had stacked various books, magazines, and a round pillow along Eden's lower body. To commemorate their achievements so far, Jaehee snapped a progress picture.
"No way," said Yehyeon, already picturing the punishments Eden would dole out once he woke up. "Hajun, you're just letting them do this?"
Gyeon Hajun shrugged, smiling gently. He had moved from the floor to the arm rest by Eden's head to allow their maknaes more space to move around. "It's just a little harmless fun." And, though he didn't say it, it was a nice distraction. Watching them mess around with Eden made it feel like there was nothing strange about this little 'nap' at all.
Balancing a remote on top of the pillow, Jaehee added, "Eden hyung will forgive us if we have Hajun hyung apologize first." Hajun nodded to confirm he had already agreed to try.
Kim Dobin muttered habitually, "Stop the non-Gyeon Hajun discrimination."
Yehyeon blinked. "I'm not endorsing this," he said and walked out of the room.
Jaehee and Dobin paid no mind; they resumed their very important tasks.
A few minutes later, Yehyeon came back, glanced at them, shook his head, and left again. Then he returned, took something from a nearby shelf, and left again.
The next time he reentered the room, he placed a hat over Eden's head.

"Wow I can't believe Eden hyung slept through all of this."
Kim Dobin couldn't help admiring their work: his card tower was complete and had yet to fall on top of Eden's chest again, Seo Yehyeon had managed to stack an impressive number of hats that no one even knew they owned, and the rest of Eden's body was piled with all manner of items including a handheld fan, a stack of post-it notes and every single one of their albums.
"Hmm…" Jaehee hummed, hand to his chin. "I feel like something is missing."
They all stared at Yoon Eden's still-sleeping form, or what little of it could be seen from underneath all the things burying him on the couch. Jaehee absentmindedly snapped another picture. Assuming Eden woke up as normal and this didn't turn into a bad memory, this would make for a fun adventure to show their fans.
Dobin brought his fist to his palm. "I got it!" He rushed out of the room and soon came back brandishing something in his hand.
"Eden's going to hate that," said Yehyeon.
"It's perfect," said Jaehee, giving him a thumbs-up.
Dobin grinned and held out the figurine to Hajun, who had watched but not contributed to their little game thus far. "Would you do the honors, hyung?"
Hajun laughed. "Sure."
He took the figurine, and with great care placed the finishing touch on their creation: a certain dark-haired shinobi avenger brandishing a sword on top of their precious Reve albums.
Dobin cheered as Jaehee burst into giggles; even Hajun couldn't resist nodding with pride. Yehyeon tried to shush them but luckily Eden didn't seem to stir.
It had been over five hours since they found him.
"Okay quick, let's take some selfies for our fans," Jaehee ushered.
As everyone squeezed together in front of the couch, Yehyeon said, "Wait let me just—" and tried to use the phone camera to fix his appearance.
"You look fine hyung, hurry before the card tower falls!"
"Just one… Okay, I'm done, I'm ready!"
The four waking members of Reve smiled, made other faces, and posed with a speed and skill that only idols with years of experience could pull off. They made sure to capture every possible angle of their leader's glorious form.
In the midst of these photo-ops, Yoon Eden, having just survived the danger system's latest attack, groggily blinked his eyes open. His body felt strangely heavy.
"What the fuck…?"
Movement in the corner of his eyes abruptly froze. Eden squinted, began to roll—
And a heap of miscellaneous objects came crashing down on top of him.
Yoon Eden gives me so much whiplash. I remember his development being wonderful but I forgot how bad he was at first.
It feels like he has barely any emotional intelligence starting out. It’s equally funny af and insanely frustrating. Please gain some empathy my guy and read the room.
But at the same time I love his growth and he’s one of my favorite characters cause wdym my baby is learning to be a human being?
Anyway I’ve forgotten everything so now I’m rereading An Insincere Idol’s Blank Slate (aiibs). I have to keep stopping because I’m getting annoyed at Yoon Eden but I keep reminding myself the character development is worth it.
Also his internal monologue is genuinely funny even if I want to hit him over the head sometimes.
Eden's narration really keeps the story firmly rooted in comedy because if I were thrown back in time due to a malicious external system who apparently had a part in causing my death and my actions could actively overwrite what happens in this timeline and changing too much meant having to re-do the entire 5 years worth of memories and achievements I had with the members I WOULD BE CRASHING TF OUT!! The genre would turn into horror faster than dobin can accuse eden of being possessed again ToT
