IYAxJJY; Oddly enough—
Boredom befalls him once more. There wasn’t anyone to mingle with—yet, he at least hoped. He had only entered the infamous four walls of Bullworth not too long ago. The people there lived up to their tainted reputations, he observed. Everyone was either on their feet or slacking off, in groups or solitary, disgustingly congenial or evident bullies. They fell almost perfectly in place with their stereotypes, and a part of Junyoung was worried because of that. He has yet to piece himself with the diversity presented before him. He somehow comprehended that there wasn’t a room for someone like him in the status quo in the first place anyway.
For the entirety of the time he’s spent in there, he was contained in his side of the dorm room, making sure the room’s furniture rearranged in accordance with his very precise and meticulous preference. It was an awful feeling, this lonesomeness. Lucky enough for him, he knew he could practice his awfully poor social skills once he stepped out of the dorm. A rational thinking part of him didn’t at all want to have a fit right then and there.
And so he did—sashayed aimlessly across the pavement, brushing shoulders just lightly with some of those who obviously couldn’t care less. Each time he did, he smiled silently to himself. Child-like and genuine, that was how his expression particularly was. No one noticed, though, as they all were in their respective businesses and groups of friends. While he was amused enough with just observation, he was on his toes to engage in a conversation with anyone.
His mind ran through the names of who could be his possible peers, all while he fixed his small backpack’ straps onto his shoulder. The names rushed through his mouth in inaudible mumbles. He garnered judgmental faces from a few of those who passed by, but at that time he was solely focused on finishing the list in his mind from A to Z. The entire God knows how many of a population that spent their days in Bullworth Academy, from first year to fourth year to irregular students. All of that information was as if so naturally encoded into his brain like it was something normal.
“… Im Yoona—“ he paused his barely audible whispers, eyes widening by a slight bit as his treading came to an abrupt stop. “I-I-Im Yoona…” He was starting to panic to himself. He heaved a long inhale like how his father had advised him whenever time like these came, but this deemed bootless unlike how it’d usually calm him down. He fumbled with the straps that hung on his arms as he walked to the side, attempting to slide the bag off of his back. His mild absence in control of his actions came back, making this a teensy bit harder than the usual. “I-Im Y-Yoona…” After a few trials, he finally managed to slide it off, but he was already being the nervous wreck that he is, too caught up in his disappointment in himself to even remember that the reason for taking off his bag was that the directory was actually there.
