rarely ever write poetry, but wanted to put today's escapril entry up because my partner deserves the thoughts I turn into words for him.

paint my insides pink, purple and blue
I want them to look pretty
just for you
baby doll, you are beautiful
laying next to me
in beds, in my words
drowning in my sheets
an endless sea of color
darling, don't you leave
my love, I will lose you
when I close my eyes to dream
for never shall I see
something quite like me
lost to the memory of us
even -- oh, don't let me sleep
if I wake up tomorrow
will you still be there
for I fear that tomorrow
I will be emptier still
promise me?
if I shall be empty
let me be empty
