A small grindeldore illustration I made to ilustrate one of my recent fic. 🙈 angry hurt albus/Gellert is hundred percent my jam! I wish there was more fic tackling this side of them instead of just focusing on the fluff 🥲 ( i love fluff don’t get me wrong, but i don’t exactly ship grindeldore for the fluff XD BRING ME THE ANGST)
If you wanna take a look 🙈❤️

I stick with the idea of Gellert’s patronus being a dragon, since the phoenix and the dragon complement each other in creating yin-yang and this particular pair is the symbol of everlasting love.
my knight dismissed me as his squire for shrieking “DIVA DOWN!” when he was unhorsed on the battlefield
i make this meme every time this website goes down and we never learn
Really just wanted to draw a Camp Counsellor, Steddie. But being a bit of a horror fan I turned toward the awesome 80s videos of the day for inspiration. Where both of them think a warm summer and babysitting kids is going to be a breeze. Little do they know that they become the Final boys as something stalks the camp 😢 Is it really killing the kids? Or are the boys just stuck in their own nightmare the Camp created for them? DunDunDun!!!! 😨😈
more of him
can I draw spiders? nope. will I learn? hell no, sorry Henry
"boys perform worse in school because there is a lack of male teachers!"
I don't care. If boys are too misogynistic to listen to and take female teachers seriously I really couldn't care less if they underperform.

Designing backgrounds always takes way more time than drawing characters.

We know that Dumbledore spoke out for Giants, Muggleborn, and spoke out against Dementors in Azkaban, but is there any quote or such that says that he spoke out for Elves or Werewolves or Vampires and such?
Dumbledore is a man of personal actions rather than words. He speaks in defense of individuals he wants to protect, but he is not a social activist trying to organize protests or rally for action. He is a Headmaster of a school and wishes to keep that role, when many other people want to strip him of that meager power - he doesn't wish to rock the boat.
He knows as an individual already known as 'eccentric' and 'maybe senile' to the public at large, his role in Hogwarts is more immediately useful than going out on a limb to try and make systemic change for long-broken systems that would require a LOT of social work. He struggles for shit like... "hey lets not kick the 13yr old orphan half-giant into the streets. Please." He can't even say "Voldemort is a threat" and be taken seriously, let alone change centuries-long social ideals of purity, xenophobia, wizarding elitism and slavery.
ik thats not quite what you were asking - but I think it's good context to keep in mind when talking about Dumbledores ideals and potential activism. People sorta get in their heads he is a super rich (??? huh?) socially powerful figure in society when he isn't shown to be He is generally well liked by people, if undervalued - until they get a single reason to latch onto hating him. His position is precarious and he almost gets torn down multiple times just for saying stuff.
I don't think he was ever outspoken to the Ministry or the public about anything in defense of Werewolves, Elves or Vampires - because he was never forced into public confrontation over them. He said things in private, and his actions speak loudly what he thinks - but he was never forced to stand up for an Elf, a Werewolf or a Vampire in defensive opposition to the majority.
“I warned Sirius when we adopted twelve Grimmauld Place as our headquarters that Kreacher must be treated with kindness and respect. I also told him that Kreacher could be dangerous to us. I do not think that Sirius took me very seriously, or that he ever saw Kreacher as a being with feelings as acute as a humans —” [...] “Kreacher’s a lying — foul — he deserved —” “Kreacher is what he has been made by wizards, Harry,” said Dumbledore. “Yes, he is to be pitied. His existence has been as miserable as your friend Dobby’s. He was forced to do Sirius’s bidding, because Sirius was the last of the family to which he was enslaved, but he felt no true loyalty to him. And whatever Kreacher’s faults, it must be admitted that Sirius did nothing to make Kreacher’s lot easier —” [...] “Sirius did not hate Kreacher,” said Dumbledore. “He regarded him as a servant unworthy of much interest or notice. Indifference and neglect often do much more damage than outright dislike. … The fountain we destroyed tonight told a lie. We wizards have mistreated and abused our fellows for too long, and we are now reaping our reward.” (OotP ch37)
His stance on Elves is pretty clear - but this was, of course, said in private to Sirius, Harry and probably other Order members.
His actions, though, are very clear to the public:
“But most wizards doesn’t want a house-elf who wants paying, miss. ‘That’s not the point of a house-elf,’ they says, and they slammed the door in Dobby’s face! [...] So Dobby and Winky came to see Professor Dumbledore, sir, and Professor Dumbledore took us on!” Dobby beamed very brightly, and happy tears welled in his eyes again. “And Professor Dumbledore says he will pay Dobby, sir, if Dobby wants paying! And so Dobby is a free elf, sir, and Dobby gets a Galleon a week and one day off a month!” “That’s not very much!” Hermione shouted indignantly from the floor, over Winky’s continued screaming and fist-beating. “Professor Dumbledore offered Dobby ten Galleons a week, and weekends off,” said Dobby, suddenly giving a little shiver, as though the prospect of so much leisure and riches were frightening, “but Dobby beat him down, miss.… Dobby likes freedom, miss, but he isn’t wanting too much, miss, he likes work better.” [...] “Oh no, sir, no,” said Dobby, looking suddenly serious. “’Tis part of the house-elf’s enslavement, sir. We keeps their secrets and our silence, sir. We upholds the family’s honor, and we never speaks ill of them — though Professor Dumbledore told Dobby he does not insist upon this. Professor Dumbledore said we is free to — to —” Dobby looked suddenly nervous and beckoned Harry closer. Harry bent forward. Dobby whispered, “He said we is free to call him a — a barmy old codger if we likes, sir!” Dobby gave a frightened sort of giggle. (GoF ch21) “She still does not care for clothes, Harry Potter. Nor do the other house-elves. None of them will clean Gryffindor Tower anymore, not with the hats and socks hidden everywhere, they finds them insulting, sir. Dobby does it all himself, sir, but Dobby does not mind, sir, for he always hopes to meet Harry Potter and tonight, sir, he has got his wish! (OotP ch18)
Albus isn't screaming from the rooftops about Elf rights - but he is openly allowing them to not work. He is allowing them to protest without punishment. He takes in 'free elves' when nobody else will. He allows elves to not work because they are drunk - free housing and care. He will pay them if that is what they want, offering good wages - but allowing them to set their own standards.
He is respects them as people, masters of their own choices and will, giving them broader options rather than forcing them into things they don't want - which is more respect than anyone else in the series gives them by far.
That treatment is visible. It speaks for itself. A wizarding institution everyone's kids go through that treats Elves as valued staff, not as slaves to whip.
As for Werewolves - I don't recall him ever speaking out for them. He did alter the school grounds to sneak in a young werewolf to ensure he got an education, but that wasn't 'public'. Remus Lupin was a 'closeted' werewolf, as in nobody knew he was one, until the end of his time as a teacher - where he ran away before anyone could start making an issue of him.
I'm sure if he chose to stay, or if the Ministry pulled him in for any legal issues, Albus would be proudly at his defense for being 'an upstanding, kind and responsible man he considers a close friend' (while Remus vomits in the corner from gratitude and self doubt.) But that never happened. Albus was never pushed into a position of publicly defending a werewolf.
And Vampires... they don't feature much in the story at all other than background flavor. As far as part-humans go they seem to be a bit more respected, having lollies made for them sold at Honeydukes and being invited to Slughorns networking party.
So no, I don't think there are quotes he made that publicly defend Elves, Werewolves or Vampires - though his stance on part-humans, non-humans and Werewolves is very clear, if quiet.
But he likes to work quietly. He doesn't trust his voice in a position of real power - he wanted to take over the world once, after all. Who is he to try and change the entire world to his whim...? He is scared. He feels more comfortable fighting for the people he cares about in his limited reach, being in a stable enough position to protect them.
And what did brash, open action get his father? Three muggle children harmed and a horrible death in Azkaban, making Albus' life hell as he started Hogwarts - and not ultimately helping his traumatized daughter one bit.
