Belated Happy Sakor’s and a Happy New Year!
I’m seriously unorganised lately, it came pretty much as a shock that today is already the last day of the year - I mean... Wut?! Time and all that.
I don’t know how your year was, I hope a lot better than mine. But I’ve decided to look at the few positive things that happened and not to linger on the many bad ones. And while I was doing so there’s also come something to my mind which is not specific for the last year, but something I still feel needs to be said, and what better time to do so than on New Year’s Eve. So here goes:
Dear fellow Watchers,
Thank you. I’m grateful for this fandom as it is a constant haven of goodness. Our fandom may be small - though we have grown in recent years - but in my opinion, it’s one of the best there is. And I’m not only saying this because - of course - Nightrunner is just awesome, I’m saying this because in all those years (and it’s been many years... more than a decade.... OMG what the.... O_O) I’ve never seen any shipping wars, or hating on characters or the people who like them, or any other kind of serious dispute within the fandom. On the contrary, I’ve met some wonderful, wonderful people, whom I never would have met without the Nightrunner community. Some of them have even become really good, long-time friends.
That said, Watchers are - imho - some of the best fans out there. We are a community and we stick together. So in times of need, do not hesitate to reach out, the doors of the Cockerel Inn are always open.
Here’s to another year, to old and new friends, to shared laughter and shared tears. Happy New Year, Watchers!
Luck in the Shadows,
your Cockerelinn

Ok not to be dramatic or anything, but as someone who has a pretty strong sense of self-preservation, I would probably lay down and die if Sansa Stark asked me to
