I feel like a barren glowing wasteland/vault of 500 people would be impractical to implement as an online game.

If there was demand for it or if they set the game much further ahead (were people have rebuilt) or if they set the game outside of a vault (where there is no fixed / specific population) I would be more worried.

That being said I am praying to the Gods that Kotaku is full of shit and that Fallout is single player
