Have you ever had some one who really loved you?

Someone who you knew would be good for you

Who would treat you kindly and with respect

But you just couldn't have feelings for them no matter how much you tried

You just couldn't return their love.

In a way that's what it's like to be LGBTQ+ is like.

People always telling them that it's wrong and that they should be with the opposite sex or live in the body they were given

They can't force them selves to love some one or even them selves

No matter how much they know they will scorned

That they will be threatened and their lives controlled by people who think they are the good guy

They think they are good for you and if you just forced yourself to love who they wanted you to it would be okay

But you can't

Just like how you can't force yourself to like things you don't.

If you are forcing it or faking it (beyond the reasonable "fake it til you make it" period anyway), you will fold eventually. You will never get to where you want to be.
