Even sitting in the shade, you could feel the warmth of the sun envelope your skin. It was a hot, humid day, but the breeze coming off the water surrounding your long-time home gave enough relief to make the weather bearable. To some degree, at least.

“Son of a-” You mumbled your curse as you watched the white chess piece overtake one of your darker ones. Slowly, you let your lighthearted glare lift from the board to the boy who sat across from you. He wasn’t fazed by your look and only smiled kindly in return.

“You should pay more attention to what’s happening on the board.” Eraqus chuckled.

You shook your head and analyzed the pieces, “Trust me, my losing isn’t coming from a lack of attention.”

The two of you were sitting at your usual table out in the plaza by the water. Crowds mingled and moved around you in a blur of color and sound. When you and Eraqus got together to play a game or just converse it felt like you two were the only ones in Scala ad Caelum. You made a move on the board, and then leaned back in your seat trying to gauge Eraqus’ reaction to your choice of pawn placement.

It wasn’t that you were bad at chess. With as much as you played, you’d like to think you’ve become a decent enough player. The issue was Eraqus was just so good. Too good.

“Is this even really fun for you?” You leaned your head onto your hand, elbow propped up on the table, and your eyes trained on him. He glanced at you curiously, his fingers hovering by a chess piece. “I just mean, playing me after playing Xehanort all day has to feel boring. You could blindfold yourself and still win, I think.”

Eraqus laughed and made his move on the board. He shook his head, his amusement still evident in the chuckles that escaped between his words, “I love playing with Xehanort, but I’d never give up our chess dates.” Eraqus held your gaze and you tried to keep your lips from twitching up into a goofy smile at the word ‘dates’. He added, “Besides, I enjoy the matches we have, regardless of your skill level.”

“That’s a nice way of saying you don’t care that I suck.” You replied. He laughed again and you couldn’t help but smile at the sound. Just like he said, you wouldn’t give up these moments with him for all the worlds. The time he took off from his training to come see you meant everything to you. Eraqus cared so much for his work, his training, it made you feel all the more important knowing that he also treasured these breaks with you.

The two of you continued playing, your focus growing on the game before you. After a few more turns you noticed a move that seemed too good to be true. Your eyes narrowed at the board, assuming you must have read it wrong, then the disbelief turned to excitement.

You nearly knocked over the board rushing to move your piece, “Check!”

Eraqus actually looked surprised for a moment and that made the moment only feel that much sweeter. You bounced in your seat squealing in delight. This was the first time in a very long time that you had gotten this close to winning.

“Look who’s suddenly killing it, Eraqus.” You chirped and did a little dance of celebration in your seat. It seemed fitting. “Just call me the comeback kid, what can I say?”

Eraqus chuckled, his eyes focused on your instead of the board, “You’re adorable, you know that?”

His words and the admiration in his gaze tinted your cheeks and made your face burn as a smile tugged on your lips again. His gaze didn’t waver, and it made you feel like you were on cloud nine. Quickly, you cleared your throat and tried to control the absolute giddiness that you felt.

“Don’t you try and distract me with sweet words and your charm, mister.” You pointed at him, “You’re going down.”

Eraqus finally tore his eyes away from you to look at the board and it was only then that you let your warm emotions spread to your face in a smile. If you had to spend the rest of your existence in one single moment, you’d pause this one and live right here no cloud nine forever.

Can I get some Eraqus x Reader? Maybe some HCs for when he was young he and reader were very close and she was Xehanort's sister or something. When Xehanort fell to darkness she was semi-dark. When they're adults they see each other again and she uses both light and dark powers and Eraqus convinces her to come back into the light.

Eraqus :

Since you were Xehanort’s sister, you were able to met Eraqus a lot of time

It’s like this you met the boy in white and that you became closer

Xehanort wasn’t minding that you were close to each other. If you were a couple, it would be the same but he sure would tease you both about it

Eraqus was always blushing but never said anything about that

He was enjoying your company very much, maybe even starting to have feelings for you…

Everything was nice… Until Darkness appeared in the picture

You got separated from Eraqus and you turned semi-dark because of the lost of your brother Xehanort

Whatever you did all this time, it’s only when you were an adult that you came back to Eraqus

He wished to be happy to see you… But he couldn’t when he noticed the darkness in your heart

He tried to convince you, but your darkness… It didn’t want to listen and you fought

You were using light and darkness… So there was still light in you

He talked to you, trying to reach more of this light inside, trying to make you remember how close you were and that you can trust him

He tried for what seemed an eternity for him

And it worked

Hey could I get some encouragement from Young!Eraqus from KH3. Last year was definitely a year so my GPA went down five points so this year, my senior year, is my only chance to fix it. I'm pushing myself to do my best but I also have no outlet to remove stress because I'm supposedly grounded for the entire year. I know I'm becoming kinda anxious from all the stress because I am seeing my anxiety ticks from the school year previous return. It's nothing too bad so far but I need encouragement.

Well, I can start by saying that I am proud of you. You’re working hard to correct your mistakes yes? That is something to be proud of, despite the pressure you feel from your parents, and your other responsibilities. 

But, the fact that you have no outlet for your anxiety and your stress, does make me a bit worried. 

Do you think that there could possibly be a compromise?

While, I understand why your parents are upset with you, perhaps they would be willing to help you with the outlet to your stress. Tell them that you understand the extent of what your mistakes have caused, that you know and understand that you must work harder this year to correct them. Maybe if they can see your improvement, your drive, they would be willing to compromise on you being grounded the entire year. 

I don’t know if it will work, but if they can see that you are trying, well, I think that’d be a step in the right direction. 

Maybe they’ll even be a bit surprised. But Remember, no matter what I will be here for you, through it all.

It as been a while that Eraqus’ eyes was glued on your lips. It’s been a while he wanted to kiss you… But he’s well educated and never will force you to do it

There is two possible way how you end kissing : or you kiss him, or he comes closer and asks you if he can in a whisper

At first, he doesn’t know how to handle you : where he’s supposed to put his hands?? He will finally put them on your waist and nothing more

Eraqus starts with a peck, watching your reaction

Then, he continues with a more longest one… And again, and again…

The boy takes your face between his hands, caressing your cheeks. He wants more but he won’t push your boundaries and will step back with a smile

Hello,loved reading the headcanons! So how about a headcanon about young Eraqus spending time with his S/O? Like what does he do on free time with him/her? I think that's an understandable question,right..?

Eraqus!young :

All depend of your personality

He can enjoy to teach you some moves and train with him

Playing some board-games with you or chess game

Though, Xehanort isn’t that far away and some day, you’re all together outside playing around the islands, in the water or so

Eraqus is a peaceful boy though, and he needs moment of calm time from time. If you like reading aloud some books, he will be happy to listen to it or himself reading it to you. He also can appreciate a afternoon of cuddle

He’s really not difficult

I think I remember seeing a screenshot showing that Xehanort's patterned coat trim is made from snakeskin, or at least it has a snakeskin like texture. I may be remembering this wrong though, plus I doubt it's easy to get one's hand on the stuff, unless if you go for fake snake leather.

I you look HD screenshots, you can see that the snake-like texture is only for Xehanort's boots. The texture of the coat is more like cotton or linen twill (you can see better on Eraqus' coat but it's the same for Xehanort)
