Emily stares down at the books and reads over what they had to say. She swung her legs underneath the long table as she listened to the various servants pass by her. Corvo began teaching her how to become a skilled assassin like him and one of the lessons was to become very observant of one’s surroundings. 

She looked up from the books to see the cook had served up a plate of Hagfish and her face scrunched up. She used to throw rocks at these fish...and sometimes hit. Someday, she’ll be good enough to hit the fish. Emily then looked up to see someone else enter the room. 

“Good morning. What can I do for you?” She remembered what her mother taught her, her politeness kicking in.
