Hey Lovelies! I’ve recently had a baby girl and I’ve just created a motherhood Instagram page for us. I love being a digital creator and being at home with my little one makes me enjoy documenting those moments even more. I would really appreciate it if anyone wants to give us a follow and support our new journey!
Thank you for being here. 🤍
No one warns you how lonely motherhood is.
People are always around during pregnancy, but once I hit Maternity leave, I’ve been the loneliest I’ve ever been - having frequent nightmares caused by anxiety and no one to talk to this about.
No close friends who visit on their days off, no family who understand where I’m coming from.
I find it tough to make mom friends too, and most groups are fully established or I’m usually younger than them, and I find people aren’t too sure on how to talk to me, thinking I’m a child myself.
Motherhood is so rewarding, and oh so lonely.
12-week baby bump hoping the morning sickness will end soon

Don’t touch my belly... please!
Does anyone else feel it’s weird and unacceptable that as soon as you have a baby in your belly or you begin to have a bump, that anyone and everyone thinks it’s okay to come and stroke or touch your stomach?!
I had this conversation with my therapist yesterday. As someone who is completely and utterly conscious about her belly and how it looks, I find it completely out of my control and uncomfortable when someone comes to touch or stroke my belly.
I have decided that as my stomach is the biggest area i’m uncomfortable with and I hate it, I have laid down some rules for those around me in my pregnancy.
It’s not that:
1) I don’t want you having anything to do with my baby bump
OR
2) I’m being difficult and simply just hate people...
but I feel that my body needs to be given some respect, along with my thoughts and feelings about my body.
I HATE my stomach, so when Albert’s family or anyone comes to stroke my stomach, I find it overwhelming and it feeds into my anxiety about my belly.
I have asked that all they do is ask before they stroke or wait to be invited to touch. I don’t think it’s too much to ask, especially as I have a valid reason why and I’m not just doing it to be difficult.
If they ask, I have the option to say “Not today, I feel self conscious”. If I invite them to, then it is also within my control as I have stepped forward and said it’s ok.
I don’t know🤷🏻♀️ is it just me being over sensitive or conscious. Either way, this is what I think will make me the happiest and most comfortable in that situation. I wouldn’t want them feeling left out, especially when Eggbert kicks. But I need to feel comfortable in myself, put myself first and do what’s right for me!
Let me know if you’re the same❤️
First time mum fears...
Well that’s baby number one now 41 weeks and 2 days, and apparently he hasn’t engaged or had any effect on my cervix so my midwife couldn’t do a sweep yesterday. Looks like I’ll be travelling the 3 hours to hospital in another 5 days but apparently am not likely to get to have baby’s dad stay with me, so looks like he’ll be travelling a 6 hour round trip, really frustrating that baby hasn’t come of his own accord as we could have had him at our local hospital 20 minutes away
