YOUNG DRACULA (2006-2014)
“Chase Me To A Foreign Country I've Never Heard Of Before Cut Off My Friends & Family Send Me Marching To War”
so because my young dracula hyperfixation bombarded me out of nowhere, reduced me to the disaster i was for this show as a child & still has me in its chokehold. it convinced me to rewatch all other versions of dracula i have seen in my lifetime, even the questionable ones to see if they were as bad as i remembered them to be back when i throughly roasted one in my essays for my degree & in one of the adaptations i watched there's a part where it turns out count dracula turned a baby into a vampire:
so with that horrifying image my brain struck back & i am making it everyone else's problem 🧛🏻:
He wasted years on his mother's plans when all he wanted was to have a family. Which shows throughout season 4 and some of season 5. After he finds out the truth everything went down hill and it led him to his death.
Like when he's locked in that room with Ingrid and The Count he literally says "all I ever wanted was a family."
At the end of Ep7 S4 he says to his mother that he wanted to get to know his father better.
Malik:"I'm only just getting to know him."
Elizabeta:"you don't need to know him."
Honestly I could rant about him for ages but I won't. Cause who wants to read all of that 😭
But I will honestly protect Malik as much as I possibly can! Yeah some things he did can't be justified but he had reasons for most things.
Gonna post this edit here. (because I'm really proud of it 😨)
Anyways season 4 Malik. That scene where he mentions how he "finally found his father" I always wonder if it's true or just an act because Vlad and the Count are watching.
Plus that scene where his mother is like "and you do want that, don't you?" isn't that just manipulation or pressure.
BONUS:
Just you wait. You can’t escape your destiny.
