A KNIGHT OF THE SEVEN KINGDOMS S01E04 - “Seven”
probably an unpopular opinion but i hate when the only conflict a romance author can think of to cause tension between the main couple up is to break them up. what do you MEAN there's still 35% of the novel left and now one of them's completely shut down and won't talk to the other? they can shut down and still be a couple and work their way through it.
She was so fucking beautiful it almost hurt to look at her. I wondered if she knew that. I wondered if she knew how much she occupied my thoughts and how I counted down the minutes to seeing her again when we were apart. I wondered if I’d upended her life the way she had mine, to the point where the pieces would no longer fit if she weren’t there, because she wasn’t a pit stop; she was the destination.

bring back the art of ship names 😩
but if I know you I know what you'll do you'll love me at once the way you did once upon a dream.
does ana huang know that british people use cuss words other than 'bloody' and 'wanker'? i'm reading the striker right now (well, i'm coming back to it after some uni reading) and it's driving me nuts how often those words are said by her characters. especially since the characters they're used by often don't seem the right social class/age group? for example, a fifty-year-old football coach isn't going to use the word 'wanker' to insult someone. he's gonna call them a 'tosser' or a 'bastard'. and a twenty-something-year-old guy from a working class background isn't necessarily gonna say 'bloody' all the time. he's more likely to say 'fricking' or 'fucking'. that's my generation, i should know.
Be gone with you, Ser Duncan.

araminta and rosamund switching to cantonese to talk shit is an actual mood 🙏
it would be really funny if this season ended with eloise running away in a carriage. no explanation. no nothing. she's just gone.
