The last two weeks seeing what’s happening in Grenfell in Notting Hill has just shown me that when you are voiceless or when people don’t want to hear your voice, the repercussions can be so tragic....That’s why I do Black Ballad, I’m petrified of being voiceless in this society because the repercussions can be fatal. I don’t want my daughter because she looks like me to be voiceless.
