a/n: I don’t officially write for AB6IX, but I am obsessed with Youngmin (I’ve thought he’s cute since broduce but right now he’s really hitting me with the feels) so I hope this turns out well.
Also anon who requested with Youngmin, I love you and this is totally because of you (and for you), although I sort of mixed both your suggestions so I hope you don’t mind!
The fact that your boyfriend’s birthday was on Christmas Day, always meant he got double the presents. It also meant there were usually a lot of people at your house since early hours in the morning, so that’s why you woke Youngmin way sooner than he expected.
“Five more minutes” he groaned, trying to hold on to you before you completely left your shared bed “Please? It’s my birthday”
“No, come on, we have to get changed” you laughed “And I want to give you your present before everyone gets here”
“Oh is that so?” raising one eyebrow he smirked, scooting closer to you “I like the sound of that”
“Alright so get up” pushing him off before he could actually reach for your face with his lips, you got out of bed, leaving Youngmin pouting and a little confused, “Also, Happy Birthday love” you leaned over the mattress and kissed him softly.
“Thank you, I love you” Youngmin finally pushed the covers aside, smiling brightly as he prepared for the day ahead.
You were still making the last arrangements for Youngmin’s celebration at your house, when he came down the stairs, still wearing that beautiful smile.
“You look handsome” you approached him again, letting him wrap his arms around you “I have a present for you.”
“I feel like you’ve been saying that all morning” he chuckled, kissing your cheek “Thank you for working so hard for this whole Christmas, birthday thing”
“It’s okay, I love you and I want you to have a nice time” smiling at him again, you “Come on, let’s open some presents”
Leading him into the living room, you had set three small boxes wrapped in bright red paper in the coffee table. Youngmin sat on the couch in front of the small table, and grabbed the first one, shaking it a bit to try and figure out what it was.
“Open it” you encouraged him, getting extremely excited yourself, he was in for a huge surprise.
Youngmin got rid of the wraping pretty fast, and opened the small box, he gave you a confused look as he took out a small sneaker out of it. “Is this a keychain?”
You shook your head, suppressing a laugh. “Continue!”
Leaving the sneaker aside, he grabbed the second box, still confused about its contents when he took out a tiny sock out of it. This time, something started clicking in his head, as he looked at the shoe, the sock and then at you. Without a word, but his movements getting quicker he took the third box between his shaky hands. Almost ripping apart the whole box, his eyes opened twice as big than before, “Are you for real?” he asked, his voice louder and three tones higher than usual. It was the positive pregnancy test, what he found on the third package.
You nodded repeteadly, biting your bottom lip. “Merry Christmas?”
Youngmin jumped back on his feet and in a second, he was lifting you off the ground, arms tightly wrapped around you as he kept saying “I love you” over and over again.
“I’m going to be a dad!” he yelled, his tone of voice back to normal, but still loud enough for the whole neighbourhood to hear him. “Thank you, y/n, this is the best present ever” his eyes sparkled with emotion as he finally stopped moving, grabbing your face with both hands he continued speaking: “I love you so much, thank you for making me the happiest man on Earth”
“I love you too” you pulled him a little closer by the neck “I’m so happy to start this family with you”.
a/n: I did use the stool incident as my inspiration lmao

You were in bed, about to fall asleep when your roommates started yelling. Both of them begging for you to come out and “Save them.”
Groaning, you quickly got up and walked out into the living room “You realize that other people live in this apartment building, right?”
Both of them were standing on the kitchen table, stuck between laughing and yelling as they tried to push the other off.
You were about to go back to your room when they both called you back.
“WAIT!”
“There’s a bug and you’re the only one who can get rid of it!”
You tensed, you didn’t like bugs either but you were the only one willing to deal with them. You quickly walked to the door and grabbed shoes, some for you to wear and another for your weapon.
A laugh escaped your lips after hearing a thud and then footsteps quickly going into a room before slamming the door. Both of them decided the bedroom was the safest spot, leaving you alone with the bug.
“They didn’t even say what it was or where it is.” You grumbled, deciding to look in the kitchen since that’s where they were before.
After several minutes of searching, you were about to yell at them that it was gone when you spotted it.
There was a wolf spider crawling across the kitchen floor and you shrieked, jumping on the table just like your roommates had.
“Why didn’t you tell me it was a spider!!” You yelled at them, seeing the door was cracked open. The only response you got in return was the door closing and your roommates laughing.
You hated spiders, and your roommates, knowing that, still decided to leave you alone with it. You bit your lip, looking around for an escape plan before sighing seeing how your room was the furthest from the kitchen.
You leaned over the edge of the table, spotting the spider on the other side of the kitchen. Smiling, you quickly ran to your roommates door in hopes you could hide out in there with them.
“Open the door, it’s gone!” They cracked it open, snapping a picture of you before slamming it closed again.
Huffing, you quickly made a beeline to your room. You could hear shuffling until one of them quickly ran past you, into your room, and closed the door.
You sprinted to the door, slamming your hands against it in frustration. “That is my room! You can’t just lock me out of my own room!”
“Take care of the spider first and then I’ll buy you coffee in return!” You kicked the door, debating if you should call someone for help or break the door down.
When someone began to knock on the front door, you hesitated before going to open it. ‘Who is visiting us in the middle of the night?’
You cracked the door open to see a smiling Youngmin wearing sweats and a hoodie. “Not that I am not ecstatic to see you, but what are you doing here at 1 in the morning?”
“We texted him!” Your roommate shouted from her room before he could respond.
“They sent me videos and pictures of you panicking in the kitchen and asked me to come kill a spider.” You moved out of the way so he could come inside.
You felt bad for having him come over so late at night all because of a little spider, but you couldn’t help but smile seeing him dressed in his baggy clothing and coming all the way over to help you.
He told you to sit on the couch since your roommates still refused to let you in one of the rooms, but you ended up sitting on the kitchen table again. You wanted to help him, but when you saw the spider crawling towards you, your first instinct was to grab Youngmin. Luckily, he was only amused at your reaction and didn’t push you away like you thought he would. Instead he lifted you onto the table and searched for it again.
It took a few more minutes to find where it hid, normally you would have been anxious in this situation but watching him helped you relax.
When he spotted it, he quickly slammed the shoe and grabbed some paper towels to clean it up.
After throwing it away, he went over to where you were sitting on the table and wrapped his arms around you.
Your hands slid behind his head and played with his hair as you whispered a small thanks.
He gently kissed you on the lips before pressing a soft kiss on your forehead and pulling away.
“You’re welcome, but now you should go to sleep.” He helped you off the table and guided you to your room as your roommates quickly went to their shared one, thanking him on their way.
You sighed as you climbed into bed, enjoying the comfort until you noticed Youngmin leaving. “Wait, you should stay. What if the spider comes back to life and you’re not here to kill it?”
He rolled his eyes but smiled as he climbed in bed with you. He pulled you against him, resting your head against his chest you smiled as you listened to his heartbeat and enjoyed his warmth that enveloped you.
Summary: You had always believed that getting to wear your boyfriend’s clothing was something magical that all women got to experience at least once. But being on the chubbier side, you didn’t expect it to ever happen for you.
Pairing: Lim Youngmin x chubby reader
Genre: fluff, fluff and more fluff. Oh and older woman (noona)/younger man au
A/N: When I first got into Youngmin when I was watching P101, I remember a video interview he did just as MXM started where he said he preferred cute and chubby women over sexy and slender. And that he would like someone older than him. I’m sure he will love whoever he meets in life that he’s attracted to, but as a chubby noona, I’ll admit, I rejoiced! Recently, this idea came to me out of nowhere, so I’m really happy to share it with you all now.
I know this is a little specific with sizing and age, but I’m sure a lot of people can relate to thinking they might not fit a certain mold in society and doubt their ability to do whatever that is. So I’ll hope you give this a read regardless. Because it’s ridiculously cute!

You shivered against the cold air, wrapping your arms around your body to keep warm. It had been sunny all day long and as your date with your new boyfriend Youngmin progressed into the night, you realised you had forgotten to bring something with you to keep you warm now that the sun was gone and replaced by the stars above.
Youngmin noticed your discomfort and shrugged off his denim jacket immediately. “Here, wear this.”
“Oh, I’m fine!” you said over-enthusiastically, dismissing his offer with a desperate smile. “Honestly, you keep it for you.”
“I’m warm and you just shook against the chill of the wind, Noona.”
You smiled forcibly, and let your arms hang loosely at your sides again. Truth be told, you were becoming quite affected by how cold it was. And, the fact that Youngmin had offered his jacket did make your heart swoon.
But you couldn’t accept it.
For years, you had actively perused novels as a teenager, smiling and squealing giddily at the romantic chivalry of the male protagonists. Whether it was offering a coat to their girlfriend or love interest when it was chilly, or doing little gestures to brighten their world, you had soaked it all up, excited for when you would one day get the blessing of receiving such gestures from someone you loved in real life.
You hadn’t been prepared for the beautiful imagery you had nurtured over those juvenile years to be shattered when you got your first boyfriend. You had played the move effortlessly, forgetting your coat one time on a date just to see what your boyfriend’s reaction would be. And then when the fateful moment came and he offered you his varsity jacket, well, you had been utterly embarrassed.
Because you had never expected it not to fit.
You weren’t someone who was considered in one weight camp over the other. You weren’t skinny enough to wear anything with ease, but you had never considered yourself to be greatly overweight either. You were thicker than most of your friends, but you had always been that way. Your mother had affectionately referred to you as big boned, and well, those bones of yours made it impossible for you to do up your boyfriend’s jacket.
“Oh, it doesn’t fit you, how about you take it off, Y/N? I didn’t think your arms would be that thick compared to mine.”
You decided that perhaps it was because you were going through another body change in life and he was more on the slender side. Not once had you thought of body size being an issue since everything happened so easily in fictions. You attempted not to let it deter you, though you subconsciously became more aware of your chubbier parts and tried to lose weight so you wouldn’t face something like this again.
With your next boyfriend, it was with sheer misfortune that you had gotten wet helping out with a booth during orientation week in your second year of university and your boyfriend had taken you into the club room to borrow something from his stash of clothes to wear instead.
Nothing fitted you and you went home, ashamed and cold.
You had vowed from that moment on, no matter who you dated, you just wouldn’t accept their offers over clothing. It wasn’t worth the heartache or the self-destructive thoughts over your body either.
You were happy within your skin as you were but you weren’t immune to feeling self-conscious like any other human out there either.
“Are you sure?” Youngmin continued and you nodded, pushing through the sting against your bare arms and smiled up at him.
You would do better to be more prepared next time.
As you continued to date Youngmin, you realised just how sweet and doting he was. He really was exactly who you had dreamed of over the years to have at your side, and whilst you hadn’t expected to date someone younger, you loved everything about him.
Except when he would insist he help you with things you knew he couldn’t.
“I’m fine, I bought a coat this time!” you cried, reaching into the bag you had been lugging around on your date and pulling it out before he could take off his hoodie. Slipping it on, you made a bit of a production in assuring him you were comfortable, smiling brightly up at Youngmin once you were done.
He sighed heavily. “Will you never let me do anything for you?”
“You don’t have to give up your warmth for me, Min. It’s a modern era now, old chivalry is over. Have you heard the new approach of women giving up their coats for their boyfriends now too? If you ever get cold, I’ll give you mine instead, okay?”
“Why? You never accept when I do anything for you like that.” Youngmin shook his head adamantly and his gaze grew guarded, hiding his disappointment below the surface.
You frowned; you didn’t understand why he was so upset. You were simply saving him the burden and you the embarrassment. Trying to shrug the moment off, you reached out for his hand and cuddled into his side. It wasn’t long until he was smiling again.
But moments like that continued. You could tell he was trying his best to ensure you were happy and comfortable whenever you were with him; though it was starting to draw a small wedge between you both.
You didn’t want him to suffer and he didn’t know why you would excessively become so independent on dates like that. You started to enjoy spending your time together at his or your apartment instead, where you didn’t have to worry about any of the ailments of the outdoors to cause an issue for you.
As the movie you were watching rolled into the credits, you glanced over at Youngmin and smiled. “That was a good movie, huh?”
“We could have gone to see it at the theatre a couple of months ago, Y/N. It would have been better on the big screen,” he replied and you felt awkward, reaching for your glass of juice hastily to distract yourself from his statement. You didn’t have a proper grip on it as you thought when you went to take a drink and proceeded to spill it on your dress.
You gasped, horrified at doing something so foolish. Especially since tonight, you were at Youngmin’s home and not yours.
“Just wait here, I’ll get you a towel,” Youngmin instructed and you sat there, scolding yourself repeatedly until he returned, a towel and one of his hoodies within his grip. You reached out for the towel appreciatively.
“Thanks, this will do.”
“You’re soaked, there’s no way I’m letting you stay in that, Noona.” He placed the hoodie down beside you. “You need to change.”
“I’ll be fine. It’ll dry soon enough and-”
“Why do you always reject my clothing offers? Is there something about them that you don’t like?”
You stared at Youngmin, unsure of what to say. You had believed you were doing the right thing by ensuring you could look after yourself. Not once had it dawned on you that your rejection of his offers would have a negative affect on how he viewed himself as your boyfriend.
Your gaze grew wide as you shook your head. “There’s nothing wrong with them or you.”
“Then why do you always make a big deal about not needing my assistance? You confuse me because you love when I dote over you so I thought you were a romantic at heart and would appreciate my attempts.”
“I do and I am,” you agreed, nodding quickly. Clutching at the towel, you decided to be honest. “I don’t want to embarrass you.”
“Y/N, it’s a bit late for that,” Youngmin admitted and you shook your head.
“I mean, I’m not skinny, Youngmin. The idea that your girlfriend can fit your clothes, it doesn’t go for everyone. I didn’t want you to feel the awkwardness of a moment when I can’t fit your clothes. That’s why I’ve done what I have in the past.”
He was silent, processing your words. Youngmin then smiled, his large hand reaching out to cup your face. “That’s really it?”
“Well, it’s to protect my heart too, I’ll admit. In the past, I’ve had to learn about the clothing thing the hard way.”
“In the past, you never dated someone like me either,” he commented, gesturing a hand to his height. He was right; he was your tallest boyfriend to date. Youngmin grinned. “You even claimed my shoulders are ridiculously broad.”
“Well, they are!”
“And I like my hoodies to be baggy, so I tend to buy larger sizes.” He gave you an encouraging smile and you realised what he wasn’t saying.
To give his clothing a try, it might just fit.
With a determined inhale, you nodded and took the hoodie from him, leaving the living room so you could remove your dress in the bathroom. After patting down your skin with the towel, you reached for his hoodie that you had placed down on the side of the basin and slipped it over your head.
And finally, the magic happened. You stared at yourself in the mirror ahead as you rearranged the garment a little, shoving your hands through the sleeves that were too long for you. A giggle soon erupted from within you, and you did a quick check over.
So, it wasn’t entirely something that looked giant on you as most depictions of a girl wearing a guy’s clothing were expressed as. But you fitted his hoodie and you felt as if you had succeeded with some sort of girlfriend ritual of being able to fit his clothes.
Entering the living room again, you beamed at Youngmin. “It fits!”
“Yes it does,” he murmured, eying you quietly.
Your elation eased off at his affected gaze. You frowned. “Do I not look good in it?”
“Well, uh…” He blushed deeply and that’s when you realised it. Now Youngmin was experiencing his own boyfriend ritual.
Seeing his girlfriend in his clothes.
“I want to keep it on,” you confirmed and he blinked away from his thoughts, nodding softly.
“Are you going to go home and sleep in it?” he questioned and you stared up at him, wondering how he had read your mind. That was exactly what you were going to do when you left to go home tonight.
Youngmin smirked. “Noona, you’re not the only one who has had fantasies about this. Guys like seeing their girlfriends in their stuff. It’s like a rite of passage.”
“So we’re now truly official since I’m finally wearing your clothes?”
Youngmin pulled you into his arms, kissing you softly. “We’ve been official for weeks now, Y/N. But I like seeing you in my clothes a little too much already. I hope we face more incidents where you need to borrow them.”
You grinned and nodded. After all, you now hoped for that too.
(a repost because this didn't show up in the tags.. i was a little upset :( hopefully the glitch is fixed! enjoy this dose of a cliché domestic!boyfriend youngmin <3)
work felt extra exhausting on the particular day. you were a little off, a little upset, especially since you had promised youngmin you were going to get dinner together after work. you’d texted him telling him you were sorry and that you were going to be home late, to which he brushed off and reassured you saying it was fine.
upon reaching the front door of the cozy apartment you share, you press in the passcode on the keypad and push the door open. odd, you think, when you see that all the lights are switched off. usually youngmin would be outside catching up on a show or scrolling through his phone until you got home, but it surely is different that day.
you turn on the lights, and frown, but a moment later a small smile creeps up your face. a piece of paper stuck on the wall read, hi baby! welcome home <3 go to the spare room and change into the dress i bought you, please?
youngmin isn’t one for surprises, but you go with it anyway, setting your bag down on the countertop and heading towards the spare room. true to his word, a simple pale blue dress was laid by the edge of the bed, beside an opened box of a necklace and a pair of earrings.
your best friends helped me pick these out… so i’m not 100% positive if you’ll like them!!! but i trust them and i’m sure that you look beautiful right now, reads another piece of paper beneath the box, you can go to our room now! i can’t wait to see you, angel <3
you shut the door behind you with the other, padding across the corridor to your room. slowly opening the door, you feel soft petals at your feet, and you turn on the lights, revealing youngmin sitting at the foot of the bed, a bouquet of flowers in one hand.
his face practically lights up when he sees you, a wide grin plastered on his face as he gets on his feet and stands before you. “hi,” his voice is quiet as he gives you the bouquet, not saying anything else for a few moments. “you look breathtaking.”
“ah, what,” you hide your face behind the flowers, to which you get a soft chuckle in response. when you look at him again, your free hand is enveloped in his. “what’s all this for? am i missing something? it’s not our anniversary or anything, is it?”
youngmin takes the bouquet from you and places it on the bed, his thumb drawing circles on the back of your hand. “god, no, you’re paranoid again,” he giggles, scrunching his nose up. “okay, well, i know it’s a little sappy and cliché, but we’ve been dating for a long time and you know, it’s just that, it’s been a while.”
he smiles at you sheepishly. “and in all the time i’ve loved you, you know, i’ve considered a lot of things! like, when i wake up next to you, i ask myself, is this where i want to be 10 years down the road? when you’re hurt and cry in front of me, i’m like, do i want to be the one to always comfort you and reassure you that i’ll be here for everything that you need?” his gaze falls to the floor. “and everytime you fall asleep next to me, somehow i always find myself asking if you’re the one i want to spend the rest of my life with.”
youngmin lifts his eyes back to look at you, his hand reaching up to caress your cheek. “and you are. you’re the one i want to spend the rest of my life with. you’re the one i want to wake up to every morning and you’re the last person i want to see before i fall asleep. i want to be your forever, but before that, i just need to ask you one really simple question–” and then he’s getting down on one knee, fishing out a box from his pocket. he opens it, a dainty diamond ring sitting prettily on the velvet cushion.
“–will you marry me?”
you let out a laugh in between your sniffles, “of course i will.” he slips on the ring on your finger before standing back up to kiss you. you feel him smile against the kiss, his fingers intertwining through yours. when he pulls away he wipes your tears away, pulling you into his chest and holding you close.
“did you know i love you?” he mumbles against your hair, running his fingers through them.
you detach yourself from him to look at him. “i think you tell me that too much, so yes, i do,” you tell him. “but i think you need to know that i love you too.”
Taking a break from typing up your character overview, you lean back against the couch, letting out a soft groan as you raise your arms and stretch.
“Jeez. I kinda forgot how tough it is to fill out some parts…” You whisper to yourself before yawning quietly.
Glancing at the time, you sigh and the corners of your lips quirk into a faint smile.
“I guess I’ve been up for long enough.” Double-checking the work you’d done, you press the save icon before shutting down your laptop.
As you go to plug it in and set it back on the table in front of you, you hear a pair of soft footsteps from down the hall, and you look over curiously to see that your puppies are still awake. The blonde puppy rubs his eyes a bit before giving you a small smile, while the chocolate puppy leans on his shoulder, eyes peeking up at you from underneath his messy dark brown fringe.
Before you can even ask what they’re still up for, Kwang-Min bites his lip slightly before speaking. “You hadn’t gone to bed yet, so we figured that you were working on something. But… We also thought you’d be done by now and spend time with us…”
“Well, what did you have in mind??” You grin, stretching a bit more in order to pop a few bones and release the painful tension built up in your limbs from sitting and working for so long.
“Just… Watch the sunrise with us??” Young-Min shakes out his hair and tries to pat the stray bedhead strands down.
“Of course.” You nod, still smiling as you notice their tails wagging behind them.
“Can we eat too??” Kwang-Min gives his own small shy smile.
Young-Min chuckles quietly to himself before both of their stomachs give a bit of a growl.
“Hungry puppies, aren’t you??” You tease with a light laugh, moving to the kitchen to get things prepared, giving a quick scratch behind their dachshund ears as you pass by to start the coffee keurig.
Kwang-Min only nods his head while scratching his neck, looking almost embarrassed, whereas Young-Min gives a small hum of affirmation with the beginnings of a grin crossing his face. As the water to brew your coffee heats up, you pour their favorite cereal into 2 moderately sized bowls before adding almond milk. A quiet cheer from Kwang-Min sounds from behind you and you turn to see the chocolate puppy bouncing slightly, seeming to be excited to eat breakfast. As your coffee finally brews and empties itself into your mug, you hand them their bowls with spoons. It’s all but mayhaps less than a minute that your mug is full, and you grab it carefully before the three of you make your way to the balcony to sit and watch the faintest of bold, firey coral streak it’s way across the sky to signal that it’s dawn. As the navy and plum part ways to make way for lighter hues of blue and the rising sun’s rays, you sip slowly on your coffee, smiling over at how the twins seem content to slowly munch away while staring up at the sky.
Young-Min finishes first, gently setting his bowl aside as he moves to be next to you, setting into your side, cheek pressed against your own. You reach up a hand to comb your fingers through his hair and turn to press a soft kiss to his lips, his eyes widening briefly in surprise before you pull away. Kwang-Min’s eyes flash with the mildest of jealousy as he notices, and he quickly finishes his cereal and moves closer to you so he can have a bit of your attention as well.
Climbing into your lap and settling onto both you and the elder twin, he gives a slight pout. “Can… Can I have a kiss too??”
He almost stutters, and his voice is the shyest you’d heard it. Looking down at him, you internally chuckle at how cute the whole thing is, and lean in to give him a soft kiss as well. Pulling away just a second later, a whine starts to slip from him but he catches it, eyes slightly widened as a blush lights up his face.
You feel warmth flood your heart at the sight of it, and press a kiss to his forehead as well. He smiles at this and moves up to nuzzle you affectionately before turning and settling in comfortably, making sure that there’s a small bit of room to share on your lap with the other puppy, nestling his head into your chest to listen to your heartbeat as Young-Min moves to take the bit of space and tuck his head beneath your chin.
When the three of you look back up at the sky, the sun is already halfway risen, and a sigh of contentment escapes you as the puppies simply relax against you and watch the sky.

‘This design is great! It’s simple, yet elegant. If you’re able to keep it up, you’ll get a high mark with this Y/n.’ Your professor smiled, patting your shoulder before she walked away. You smiled sleepily, thankful that your design was good. It had to be, you didn’t spend days on it to be declined.
‘Im Youngmin! What did I say? You should work on our project now or otherwise we won’t ever finish it, how many times do I have to say it?’ You heard your best friend yell in frustration as she pushed the tall boy next to her who was just grinning. ‘Don’t worry about it so much, we’ll get a good mark!’ ‘Yeah if you’d start working on it right now we might will.’ Your friend huffed. Before you could turn away you made eye contact with Youngmin for a split second, when Youngmin saw you the grin on his face grew even wider, waving at you before returning back to the project. Your best friend was probably going through a hard time with Youngmin as her partner for the upcoming project, knowing Youngmin was notorious for only starting on projects the night before. But somehow, he always managed to receive the highest marks of the whole department.
Even though you’d love to work together with Youngmin, right now you were thankful you were studying interior design, unlike Youngmin and your best friend who studied architecture. ‘Seems like she’s going through a hard time’ You chuckled as you watched her hit Youngmin’s back, a desperate action to get him to work.
‘So lovebirds, when are you guys finally going on a date? It’s taking y’all centuries, I’m slowly dying here, watching nothing happen.’ Your friend complained as she grinned at the sight of you walking next to Youngmin, bumping into each other every now and then, small giggles filling the halls of your college. Upon hearing her words you jokingly pushed her away as Youngmin seemed to struggle with swallowing. ‘It’s not like that, we’re just friends, you should know that!’ You looked up to Youngmin, in anticipation of his confirmation, but he just looked away, trying to hide his red face. ‘Oh come on Y/n, don’t fool yourself. His face is as red as his hair now.’ Your friend continued, but before she could speak again Youngmin quickly excused himself as he hurriedly walked away. ‘Yah look what you did! You scared my friend away.’ You huffed, but laughed after seeing your best friend pout.
‘Truth or dare! Youngmin, your turn!’ Donghyun clapped his hands, screams leaving his mouth. ‘U-uh, dare I guess.’ Whistles filled the room as Donghyun tried to come up with a good dare to embarrass his friend, but your best friend beat him to it. ‘Kiss Y/n!’ She beamed, mischievously looking at the two of you. Youngmin gulped, too embarrassed to look at you, so were you, not daring to even glance at him. Yells soon filled the room again, telling Youngmin to man up and just do it. When Youngmin still didn’t react Donghyun groaned, throwing a bottle of alcohol towards him. ‘Drink up and kiss her dumbass’ Donghyun cackled as he saw Youngmin proceed to take the bottle, gulping it down quickly. The whole time you didn’t dare to lift your head, but you did when you heard Donghyun pass him the bottle, not wanting him to do something he’d regret. You heard Youngmin in- and exhale heavily, before mumbling something, probably cursing at Donghyun.
Just when you were about to lift your head a hand grabbed your chin, it wasn’t harsh but strong enough to keep you in place. Youngmin’s gaze fixed on your lips, but when he looked into your eyes, his gaze softened. ‘Y/n if you don’t want me to kiss you please stop me.’ He muttered, trying to keep eye contact with you but couldn’t refrain himself from staring at your lips again. When you didn’t do anything he carefully pressed his lips against yours.
You’d expected him to be rough, considering the state he was in. Even though the kiss was a bit messy, it also was incredibly soft. His lips were slowly moving against yours, just when you felt it was going to escalate, Youngmin pulled back. His hand caressing your cheek. ‘Get a room oh my god’ Your friend yelled as she covered her eyes with her hands.
‘Shall I walk you home?’ The tall boy in front of you nervously rubbed his neck. You smiled, nodding at him. The two of you began to make your way out. You shivered when the cold air hit your skin. Youngmin frowned. ‘Are you cold?’ ‘No- I’m fine.’ You smiled as you tried to hide how cold you were actually feeling. But the cold didn’t last much longer as you felt a warm fabric cover your shoulders. You looked over at Youngmin to see he had taken off his flannel and carefully draped it over you. Before you could protest Youngmin laughed. ‘D-don’t worry about it, you c-can give it back later, we’re in the same department anyway.’ You thanked him, before he averted his gaze to the ground again, trying to hide the deep red blush that covered his cheeks.
‘I’m sorry I kissed you.’ He talked under his breath as he stared at nothing, walking in a slow pace. ‘Didn’t you want to?’ You asked, slowly beginning to become worried with his unusually quiet behaviour. ‘N-No! I did want to, really bad actually but I was worried you wouldn’t want too and I have wanted to kiss you for a long time and I had even planned it out, but now I kissed you without even being sober.’ Youngmin sighed. You laughed quietly, sometimes he really was too cute for his own good. ‘What are you laughing at?’ Youngmin managed to bring out as he looked at you. ‘Nothing, it’s just that you’re really cute and that even though this is not how you planned it, I still really enjoyed it.’
‘Oh thank god.’ Youngmin’s tensed shoulders now dropped in relief. Just when you were about to continue walking Youngmin grabbed your wrist. ‘Can I kiss you again? I want to do it properly.’ He stepped closer to you, his warm breath tickled your neck as you felt your face redden. When you whispered yes he smiled warmly at you. Youngmin pulled you closer to him, one hand cupping your cheek, softly letting his thumb glide over your lips. ‘I love you.’ He breathed, before leaning in, locking his lips with yours.
well, that, and he can’t stop nuzzling his head into your neck, or playing with your fingers, or ruffling your hair, or kissing you every chance he gets. he’s like a kid on christmas morning, giggly and full of life, eyes bright and face lit up. though it’s only a simple stay-at-home date with the both of you huddled together beneath one big blanket on a movie marathon, you think you’ve literally never seen youngmin this excited and cheerful.
“you’re like, so happy today, babe,” you scrunch your nose at him when the credits roll at the end of your third movie. “what’s the occasion?”
he wraps his arm around your stomach and whines, burying his head into your chest. “whaaat,” he looks up at you before planting a small kiss on your jaw. “i’m just happy i finally get to spend time with my favourite person, okay? i’ve missed you loads.”
good enough for a reason, you decide, and cuddle closer to him, petting his hair and tangling your fingers in the ends nearer to the nape of his neck. you take notice of the way half of the time he’s just staring at you and not actually watching the movie, and when you accidentally catch his eyes, you blush and playfully flick his forehead, hiding your face behind your hands and pushing him off you.
at the end of the fifth movie, he gently takes your hands in his, pressing chaste kisses on your knuckles. he looks up at you and brushes your hair away from your eyes, giving you a smile that reaches the tips of his ears before connecting your lips together.
when he pulls away, he chuckles softly, bumping his forehead against yours. “i love you, dork,” you poke his nose. “i don’t mind you being on tour for so long if you come home and i get treated like this.”
“i have to wait for a tour to end before i can do this again?” he huffs, then laughs, pulling you into his lap. “nah, screw that. i could just do this all the time.” it’s playful, lighthearted and tender, but the warmth and sincerity of his love caves in your heart anyway, as he gently cups your face and kisses you again, soft and slow and barely there.
youngmin breathes, the small smile on his face almost impossible to wipe off. “i love you.”
(this is like rly cute i promise it's literally shy baby youngmin confessing and asking you out like the FUCK!!!!!!!!! he's so cute bye)
“hyung, you’re rambling!” you hear woong tell youngmin harshly. “you need to tell y/n, okay? i’m sure she’s waiting too. and secondly, if you keep beating around the bush, it’s not going to solve anything! i know you told me you threw this damned party for the sake of it, but you really just want an excuse to see y/n, don’t you?”
leaning against the sliding door of the balcony, you hear youngmin sigh and clear his throat. you hope woong doesn’t see you–
“y/n?” –nevermind.
as you turn around to show yourself, you don’t know what to expect. did woong out you about your crush on youngmin? did youngmin find out about it and is conflicted because he doesn’t know how to reject you? god, it’s driving you insane. why did you even turn up at the party in the first place? you suddenly felt like a pushover.
woong blows a raspberry when he sees you awkwardly standing by the door of the balcony. “finally. i’ll leave you two be,” he pats your head. “and hyung, remember what i told you.”
“hi,” you purse your lips together, not knowing what to do with your hands. “aha, what’s this about? listen, youngmin, if woong outed me and told you anything at all and you don’t–”
“will you go out with me?” youngmin looks down at you, his eyes wide and his bottom lip pulled into his mouth; a habit he has when he’s nervous. “like, on a date? you know? not like hang out and be like, ‘oh, thanks for today, friend’ but like, on a date?"
you blink and frown at him. “you like me?”
youngmin fidgets with his fingers, not quite meeting your eyes. “it’s been a while, i just, i didn’t know how to tell you…” when he looks back up, he gives you a hopeful smile. “so, will you?”
you take him by surprise when you engulf him a hug, but he recovers a little while later, his arms going around your shoulders. “i thought you’d never ask.”
