We went to @morrobay @visitmorrobay @slocal @visitcalifornia to beat the heat on Saturday as it was 108°F in Paso, but 30 minutes west, 68°F I was able to capture some playful #pelicans showing off for the #tourists with my @canonusa 80D I'm not sure why I keep gravitating back to wanting to post this photo. Maybe the symmetry with the upper pelican, lower pelican and buoy almost in a perfect row. Perhaps it's the blue and green against the color and texture of #morrorock, but I think it's from the way the 2 pelicans seem to be working together. A few years back we took a cross country trip. We traveled north east from the Central Coast through Yellowstone to the midwest. Along the way we saw some interesting things and some scary things. We experienced severe storms and nearby tornadoes, as well as traffic jams caused by buffalo. I need to repeat this trip one day . . . @highway1discoveryroute from @slocal to @visitmonterey is almost complete. Soon we'll be able to drive north again along the coast, or further north before turning around and heading back home. I imagine there will be lots of surfracks filled with boards to try out the new break the epic mudslide made.
