His palms were actually sweating; the criminal noted, an actual bounce in his step at the realization. He shouldn't be so positively giddy about a slight increase of nerves -- it had just been so long since he'd been this excited! He watched with a well hidden smirk as Molly trotted on a head, eager to see her precious little Sherlock. It would have been cute, the way she followed him around like a lost little puppy, if it weren't for how utterly pathetic it was -- his obvious disinterest was evident to the most moronic except for the little pathologist it seemed.
This was going to be sooo much fun~!
He entered, dark eyes taking in the room in a quick glance. There he was, there in all his glory looking surprisingly more studious than the cctvs let on. "Hi." He pipped up after the mouse had introduced him. "So you're Sherlock Holmes--" It wasn't who he wanted to be talking to. Dark eyes trailed to John who spoke for the consulting detective. Jim let his attention drift down the shorter man, offering him a slight smile which came across as quite awkward.
Oh, if only he could see what else I have in my wardrobe... A particular suit came to mine.
Reluctantly, the criminal in disguise turned his attention back to Sherlock. "Gay." That delicious baritone spoke in response and it took every ounce of restraint James had not to smirk. Molly's reaction was expected, but the once over look he had received from John was all the more pleasant. The clanging of the metal dish he knocked over had everyone jumping.
"Sorry! Sorry!" Jim exclaimed, bending down immediately to pick it up. The card he slipped under it was a fake, obviously, but he knew the detective would notice the little white corner peeking out. If only he could throw John over his shoulder and run, it would certainly be a quicker way than all his planning would take... Patience. Patience. He had to keep reminding himself to be patient. Faint heart never won fair lady... or some such nonsense. He'd win little Johnny boy's heart one way or another, even if that meant burning dear Shery to the ground.
