I wonder if there's a correlation between misophonia/soft sound sensitivity syndrome and ADHD. I have both. Misophonia is a condition in which certain benign everyday sounds trigger extreme irrational emotional responses in you and it's impossible to distract yourself from the hateful sound, and the reaction may be as mild as annoyance or as extreme as a full-on panic attack. We naturally become obsessed with the sounds we hate because of how extreme our reactions are.

I’m not sure what the correlation is between misophonia and ADHD, but I know that sensory processing differences are highly common among ADHDers.
