20 years later and they Still can't leave us alone. Bigger and Badder this time, is humanity ready for another fight? Oy. Okay, two things going for this one: 1) moon base, and 2) female president....and #LiamHemsworth - so 3. There was a reason it took 20yrs for a sequel. I feel like it would have been better if it had either been set further in the future (to catch up w/the moon base and the female presidency, because now I'm kind of sad we don't have either) or was a stand alone alien attack movie (the second half after finding that...alien orb: clunky, because they had to then tie that into the aliens, then tie it all to the first one). Not that I didn't like the background/additional info or that it wasn't interesting, it just felt real odd, especially because that thing looked like it could've been from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Things I did like: that group of kids w/Julius, the interiors of both the alien ship and the warlord's house/HQ thing, it just had a lot of parts that seemed thrown together, the friendship (if there was one) and conflict between Jake and Dylan could've been explained better (What was the point of Liam's character? Why couldn't Dylan just have been a lead the whole movie instead of coming in part way through?) too many comic relief characters (either Floyd OR Charlie, not both😑) also Holy Alien craft-nado!
