@yourlordoftheskies
Horus was absolute confused, where was Thoth when you need that stupid brain of his. His ego was unbearable but at least he was smart. Sighing, he kept walking until he heard the laughter of children. So he was close to civilization. The god of the skies slowly made his way towards the source of the sound when he spotted the group of children in front of him.
Tight in formation, a tactic he had seen among the Romans and Greek warriors as his eye began to focus on every single one of them in the group. There was no evil around then and yet they were not mortal at all. When the girl spoke, he smirked and walked closer. Have they never seen a god before? What happened to the times while he was asleep? Were the fighters of these days kids?
Kneeling down to get at their level, Horus spoke in a commanding yet gentle voice. “I am Horus, lord of the sky and god of Egypt. I mean you no harm little ones.” Even though he missed one eye, his gaze was sharp, like a falcon. “I am merely requesting refreshments and a place to rest before I go my way to find what is mine…”
Ω - Annabeth heard the name and her eyes widened. Horus was an Egyptian god. She remembered Sadie telling her that Horus had spent some time sharing a concious with her brother Cater Kane. Beside her Percy and Clarisse were grumbling under their breaths. “Zeus is Lord of the Sky. He will not take kindly to a usurper. I’m sure even his brother’s would fight for him to keep the domain he’s been given.” Annabeth told him. She knew she was pushing but she didn’t want Zeus angry at her or anyone else.
She looked at her friends who were nervous of the god. “What is it you’re looking for? I know some Egyptian Magicians. They didn’t mention anything.” Annabeth told him. She would help him if she could but when it came to her family she would not betray them. She would keep them safe as much as she could. Her stormy grey eyes were still fixed on him. “I’ll ask Mr D if we can find you somewhere to rest and some food.” She told him. She supposed that Horus would not cross Dionysus. Not unless he wanted to become crazy.
Annabeth did not break formation. Above them the cloud rumbled with thunder. Zeus was not happy. Not one bit. The smell of fresh grapes alerted the children that Mr D was here. Beside him was Chiron. “Horus, long time no see. Did you lose your eye to Khonsu again?” He asked blandly. His power was making the children clam. Annabeth was grateful for her uncle.
