I want to start a fun little Young Royals season 2 quiz 🌸

How many predictions are you able to make? I think it could be fun to go back and see how much we have been able to guess, when season 2 airs. The winner gets a clementine emoji and a gold star. 🍊🌟

I know i’m kinda late on this but like S2 isn’t out yet so i don’t care

1. What month will season 2 be released?

August 😏

2. What episode will Simon and Wilhelm have their first S2 kiss (who will initiate the kiss)?

I feel like it should probably wait until episode 2 or 3. I think Simon should be the one to initiate the kiss because I think Wilhelm would feel guilty for not giving him his space if he was the one to initiate it.

3. How will Simon find out about August being behind the leak?

I feel like somebody should mention it in passing at some point and then be like “wait you didn’t know?” Possibly some students were just kind of talking about it casually and he overheard.

4. Will there be snow in s2?

It’s Sweden in the winter. Id be surprised if there’s not any.

5. Will there be any physical fight (if yes, who will be involved)?

Probably not but if there is i’d want it to be somebody beating the crap out of August.

6. Will Wilhelm abdicate?

No and if he does it won’t be this season. It’s too soon.

7. Will Wilhelm make a new public statement about his sexuality?

Yes but I feel like it would be on social media or something because the crown doesnt really want him to come out and then the video will go viral

8. Will there be introduced another queer character (can be a s1 character - if yes, who)?

We need some WLW representation at some point. I feel like Madison is a little queer, maybe not WLW more like aromantic? Idk. They said that they do have new characters they’re introducing, so maybe one will be WLW?

9. Will Sara become a boarder student at Hillerska?

Yea but it’ll only last a few weeks before something gets in the way or she feels guilty and returns home

10. Do we get a forehead kiss between Simon and Wilhelm (if yes, who kisses who)?

YES ALL THE FOREHEAD KISSES. I feel like Simon would kiss Wilhelm.

I don’t think so but if it does happen i think Simon would speak first.

I think he already is or at the very least knows something is up

Probably in like a flashback or i could imagine wilhelm finds an old video on his camera role of him and Erik and that’ll be a scene that’ll make me sob uncontrollably.

18. How many characters will cry (with tears) - who?

Definitely Wilhelm and Simon, probably Sara as well, hopefully August, and i would like to see the Queen finally break and start crying and give Wilhelm the hug he deserves so much, but that won’t be until the end of the season.

19. Will Simon and/or Wilhelm say 'Jag älskar dig' (if yes, who says it first - will they both say it)?

Yes and Simon will definitely say it first. Wilhelm will say it back.

20. How many times will we see Simon eat pasta?

Every episode. And with pasta sauce this time, not with ketchup.

21. Who will have the first kiss in season 2 (named characters)?

Sara and August even though i hate them as a couple

22. Will Simon and Wilhelm have any PDA (if yes, what kind)?

Yes but it would just be a quick peck on the lips or holding hands like i don’t think either of them would be comfortable full on making out in public.

Anyways yea those are my predictions, hopefully i’m right on some of them and wont look back on this in a few months and be like “oh honey you really had no idea”

YR s2 Predictions Quiz

1. What month will season 2 be released?  - Either July or September.

2. What episode will Simon and Wilhelm have their first s2 kiss (who will initiate the kiss)? - It's either going to be ep 1 or the final episode depending on what they do their relationship. And I think it's going to be Simon. I like the idea of Wilhelm initiating in contrast to their very first kiss, but realistically, I want it to be 100% on Simon's terms when he gets back together with Wille.

3. How will Simon find out about August being behind the leak? - I have had so many fucking different scenarios go through my head for this, I swear to god. I can't pick one. Wilhelm telling him and it coming out in an argument with Sara are my top 2 though, so I'm answering one of those.

4. Will there be snow in s2? - There better be. If there's not I'm boycotting. (not really but pleaseeeeee I want my s2 snow)

5. Will there be any physical fight (if yes, who will be involved)? - If no one bitch slaps August at least once, what is the point of s2?

6. Will Wilhelm abdicate? - I agree with @eypril-eypril. If it's the last season, yes he will. If there's more, he might not. (speaking of, I lowkey don't want YR to continue much past 3 maybe 4 seasons. it gets harder to keep storylines good the further you drag it out)

7. Will Wilhelm make a new public statement about his sexuality? - Right so I have also had many thoughts about this. I think there's a good chance of it happening yes, but I don't think he's going to mention Simon in it. As in like, he's not going to take back the statement on denying the video. That would be a PR nightmare, and not just what Kristina thinks is a PR nightmare. Taking back the video denial would completely degrade trust in what anyone in the Crown says and would remove a lot of ability for Wille to do anything regarding the monarchy afterwards, or anything about August. So I think it's possible he could come out to the nation, but he won't mention the video or Simon at all.

8. Will there be introduced another queer character (can be a s1 character - if yes, who)? - Realistically? Probably not. If they do, my bet is on bisexual Madison or the new character they're introducing. YR is one of the best queer media pieces I've ever seen but I never put my faith in anything to add more queer characters after already introducing some. It just happens so rarely that I don't let myself expect it.

9. Will Sara become a boarder student at Hillerska? - I think so, yea.

10. Do we get a forehead kiss between Simon and Wilhelm (if yes, who kisses who)?- WE FUCKING BETTER. Wilhelm kissing Simon duh. (unless they're lying in bed or somewhere else together and Simon can kiss Wilhelm's forehead 👀)

11. Will Simon and the queen exchange any words (if yes, who will speak first)?- Please Lisa hear my words: we need this. Idk who will speak first though, it could go either way. I'm going to say Simon, just to have an answer.

12. Will there be clothes exchange between Simon and Wilhelm (if yes, what item)?- PLEASE LISA HEAR MY WORDS WILLE IN THE PURPLE HOODIE.

13. Will Sara speak any spanish?- I can see her yelling something out in Spanish during a really fucking heated argument with Linda or Simon. Like, if one or both of them were to find out about her knowing it was August and got into a huge fight about it, I can see them yelling at her in Spanish and her getting increasingly frustrated until she yells out something like "¡Para! No me importa, ¡quiero ser más que esto y no me comprenden!" (forgive me if my grammar is off) and that just kinda like halting everything for a minute as they process what just happened. She clearly understands it, not speaking it is a conscious choice on her part and sometimes things get so emotional that you say fuck it to self-rules like that. I hope makes sense.

14. Will Simon become aware of Wilhelm's anxiety?- Hmmmm. I would hope so. I hope we see more of them trusting each other on a deeper level like this.

15. Will Wilhelm break the 4th wall at some point? - It'd be a weird stylistic choice to not have him do so.

16. Will Alex get some sort of revenge (if yes, how)? - See I'm always a bit wary of storylines like this that are left not quite fully resolved. It's possible they won't come back to it, YR seems to be that very realistic type of show where sometimes shit happens and that's life and everyone moves on without it needing a nice bow put on it, but I also recognize that this is media and usually people like it when storylines are wrapped up with a nice bow on them. It could happen, it could not.

17. Will Erik appear in any form (letter, flashback, etc.)? - LISA HEAR MEEEEEEEE. I think he will. Like I said, YR is a very realistic type show, they capture the intricacies of real life really fucking well, and in real life you don't get things broken up neatly into seasons where you can pretend a dead character doesn't exist anymore after their season. I think it'd be really weird to not have Erik still existing in some form in s2, whether that be through Wilhelm's memories or remnants of his life.

18. How many characters will cry (with tears) - LET SIMON CRY 2K22. Probably Wille at least once. And I think we could have some possibilities with Sara, or even August crying. Like just picture him fully realizing how much he's fucked up Wille's life and his chances of ever being the person he wants to be (favored by the Crown) and just having a full on breakdown. I think they could do it really well, it doesn't even have to be in a redemption arc way. I just want August to see he's fucked up big time and cry about it.

19. Will Simon and/or Wilhelm say 'Jag älskar dig' (if yes, who says it first - will they both say it)? - Yes, but I don't think Simon will say it until the last episode to parallel Wille saying it in the last episode.

20. How many times will we see Simon eat pasta? - Very specific question, for funzies I will answer with a very specific answer that will not be right at all but idc. 5 times actually eating it, but 2 more times when he just has a bowl of it in front of him.

21. Who will have the first kiss in season 2 (named characters)? - I'm going to have to agree with eypril again here, I think it'll be Sara and August.

22. Will Simon and Wilhelm have any PDA (if yes, what kind)? - Many a thought has been thunked about this within the place I call my brain. I think yes, but I'm not sure what type. I can see it ranging anywhere to more hugs, to casual hand holding, to kisses in front of people.

1. What month will season 2 be released? August. Just to fuck with the association. But truthfully June. She’s a pride number.

2. What episode will Simon and Wilhelm have their first S2 kiss (who will initiate the kiss)? 3? But then I do assume that this season will have 8 episodes instead of 6 and I think it’s not going to be a ‘we can finally be together’ kiss but a ‘shit i miss you and can’t stand living without you like this’ kiss. I think Wilhelm will set it in motion.

3. How will Simon find out about August being behind the leak? Wilhelm will tell him.

4. Will there be snow in s2? The whole season will consist of snow. By the end of it, it’ll come out of our noses.

5. Will there be any physical fight (if yes, who will be involved)? I think so. Alexander against August. Simon might just jump in to defend Alexander.

6. Will Wilhelm abdicate? Nah. Much like Prince Zuko (my other disaster comfort character) he has honour to uphold. Mainly about making Erik proud as a way to deal with his grief.

7. Will Wilhelm make a new public statement about his sexuality? Uhuh. He will. What form that will take is a mystery to me though. Also how much he’ll give away. He might just say ‘fuck your need for labels’ and have that be the statement, which honestly, power move. He’d be doing it for God And The Gays. Just like Gaga.

8. Will there be introduced another queer character (can be a s1 character - if yes, who)? Yes. I hope it’s the new character and I hope they’re the kind of queer character who’s super involved with queer culture. Simon might be out as gay but I’ve felt like he’s not as well versed in the community as one might think. I feel like both he and Wilhelm could use a safe haven into the found family trope that queer communities provide. 

9. Will Sara become a boarder student at Hillerska? No because August is talking out of his ass of course. He’ll just end up with another Eriksson sibling nagging his head off. I think Sara will fixate on her newly dreamed-up future at Hillerska until it turns into frustration much like Simon with his money. Only Sara will turn inwards and take it a lot harder on herself mentally. And I’m afraid this will see her navigating it alone because by the time the time the dream has turned into a nightmare, Simon will have found out about her secret and broaden his Wille abstinence to include his sister. Honestly happy 2000-you-have-to-choose-yourself year to Simon.

10. Do we get a forehead kiss between Simon and Wilhelm (if yes, who kisses who)? I’ll have to riot if not so I choose yes. I want to see Wilhelm kiss Simon on the forehead in a i’m-proud-of-you gesture, turned face kisses, turned make-out session. Now, I will declare it Christmas if even a forehead kiss happens but a girl can yearn. And if it ends up being the other way around, Simon will be sat in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G Wille on the forehead, who’s one branch lower opposite him.

11. Will Simon and the queen exchange any words (if yes, who will speak first)? I think they will. I’m afraid the tightening on Wilhelm’s leash might just get so narrow, despite the good fight Wilhelm is bound to put up, that he can’t sit by and watch Wille struggle by himself any longer and goes to confront her. I can imagine him realising he still very much hates the current institution of royalty while loving someone who’s part of that and that those two things can be true at the same time. I think he will fix her with a look before speaking. Levelling the playing field. (i might just be projecting my desperate needs for this series here tho lol)

12. Will there be clothes exchange between Simon and Wilhelm (if yes, what item)? We all know what Item. (it’s the purple hoodie). For Simon hmm. His scarf that shit would be so cute.

13. Will Sara speak any Spanish? That’d be a marker of her end goal as a character right? Sara speaking Spanish would mean she’s rid herself of the shame of her own heritage, class and family. These things are major. So I’m not actually sure. I’d see it happen in a third season (pls gods). But maybe, just maybe, she might slip into her Spanish tongue when she’s hit rock bottom. At her lowest low, at the mercy of all the stress from pretending and masking she’ll be cared for by Linda and Simon and she’ll lay her deepest vulnerabilities bare in the language that feels most like home.

22. Will Simon and Wilhelm have any PDA (if yes, what kind)? YES. They’ll hug, hold hands and kiss. In that order. I think Wilhelm might take full advantage of his situation as being out to the school to do what he truly wants. It might take a little more feeling out the situation and all but I see him being determined in not holding back any longer.

14. Will Simon become aware of Wilhelm's anxiety? Yes. I think it will put some things in perspective for him as well. But I think he might become aware of it in a time where they’re not together yet. Simon will be observing Wilhelm from a distance and see his signs. I think he’ll worry about him at this new realisation but he’ll also feel like he can’t approach Wilhelm because they’re not close like that yet and Simon really has to focus on himself first before he can care for Wilhelm again. That’ll be a big struggle for him I feel. Everything in him will be screaming to help his boy. But he also knows that it would halt all progress on his new made boundaries.

15. Will Wilhelm break the 4th wall at some point? The series doesn’t officially start until those big sad and frustrated eyes meet mine across the screen, that’s for sure. But I also don’t put it past the series to have this moment be marked by Simon.

16. Will Alexander get some sort of revenge (if yes, how)? Absolutely. Han havner på en skole i Sveits my ass. I don’t know how far he’ll take it. He could either see Wilhelm as an equal enemy to August (ew i know, unfathomable). Or, and I root for this (we will all be rooting for you!) he’ll find an ally in both Wilhelm and Simon and help them bring August to justice to their own satisfaction. Alexander is a grey mouse in this universe and he could play that to his power and come out victorious on top where he’ll become a more layered character. I bet that as an often ignored person in the room, he for sure has some dirt on that whole society but especially August as he’s followed him like a puppy. He’ll act as karma personified #RevolutionForAlexander

17. Will Erik appear in any form (letter, flashback, etc.)? Hmm. I see him appear in audio form. Quick flashes of smirking whispers in Wille’s direction. A warning, a mundane request triggered by area and occasion. I think this will have a haunting effect on Wilhelm. It’ll have him breaking down over what could have been in the middle of whatever. Creeping grief but flash-bright when it actually is present.

18. How many characters will cry (with tears) - who? I think they all will tbh. The amount of shit the oncoming storm is going to bring will leave no one dry I think because they’re so impactful on a bigger scale. One thing though, I hope Alexander gets to smile. Genuinely. He’s the only character I don’t want to cry.

19. Will Simon and/or Wilhelm say 'Jag älskar dig' (if yes, who says it first - will they both say it)? I’m not sure. They’re gonna go through a shitstorm. First separately and I assume then together. But I think the time in between trusting again and forming an actual relationship is too short to goalpost that. But if it happens, I’d see Wille wait for Simon to say it back. Give him the space he asked for properly. It’ll be around the end of the season just like Wille. I can dream up a million routes that the i love you scene could happen from both their ends but this is it for now. Maybe I should write fic about it?

20. How many times will we see Simon eat pasta? A total of four times. Once at home, once at the Forest Ridge House dinner table, once at the pizzeria in Bjärstad and once at the palace, a special request from Simon to the kitchens.

21. Who will have the first kiss in season 2 (named characters)? I hope Felice and the new guy. I hope she gets swept off her feet by him. She deserves it!

I’m thinking late August or early September

2. What episode will Simon and Wilhelm have their first s2 kiss (who will initiate the kiss)?

If we’re lucky the end of episode 2 again (we’d love the parallel), but more realistically I’m thinking some time in episode 3.

3. How will Simon find out about August being behind the leak?

Honestly praying that Sara will be the one to tell him, but I have a feeling that’s not gonna be the case. I think he’ll find out by accident either from Felice or (if Lisa wanted to be really dramatic about it) Simon overhears Wilhelm and August having a fight about it (probably cause August wants to get back on Wille’s good side).

God I hope so; yes. Especially because Lisa (I’m pretty sure it was Lisa but I couldn’t find it on Twitter) said she loves the idea of a kiss in the snow

5. Will there be any physical fight (if yes who will be involved)?

I don’t think there will be, just a lot of yelling if there is a fight. If it does get physical I think it’d be between Simon and August because of what happened in episode 3, but again I don’t think it will get physical. I think Rosh’s “this isn’t you Simon” speech really got to him

6. Will Wilhelm abdicate?

No cause he’s gonna start a fucking revolution

7. Will Wilhelm make a new public statement about his sexuality?

I don’t think so. I think his “statement” will be just living his life and not hiding his sexuality/ who he loves anymore

Yes, Maddi or Rosh. It’ll be established really casually too, not a big deal will be made about it

9. Will Sara become a boarder student at Hillerska?

I feel like she’ll get ✨this close✨ to becoming a boarder student with August’s help and then he pulls the rug out from under her because he thinks she told Wille. Then she’ll go to Felice for help cause Felice is actually a good friend

10. Do we get a forehead kiss between Simon and Wilhelm (if yes, who kisses who)?

Yes- god yes. We need it, plus both Lisa and Sara know how much we want it. However, because they like to twist things in Young Royals I think it’ll be Simon giving Wille a forehead kiss. My head cannon is that it happens after Simon helps Wille through a panic attack.

11. Will Simon and the queen exchange any words (if yes, who will speak first)?

Yes, Simon will speak first cause he’s a little rebel child 😈

12. Will there be clothes exchange between Simon and Wilhelm (if yes, what item)?

Yes, the purple sweatshirt. If this doesn’t happen I’m going to sue lol

No

14. Will Simon become aware of Wilhelm’s anxiety?

Yes. Again I think there will be a point where Simon has to help Wille through an anxiety attack because all of Wille’s other coping mechanisms won’t be enough (poor baby)

Hell yeah. Is it really Young Royals if he doesn’t? Like imagine the anger in his eyes at the start of s2 *chills*

16. Will Alex get some sort of revenge (if yes, how)?

Yes, with the new character we’re getting (Lars, lol). I’m not sure exactly how, maybe manipulation or threatening to expose a huge secret.

17. Will Erik appear in any form (letter, flashback, etc.)?

Yes- not physically, but definitely his voice. We’ll hear him to show Wille’s inner thoughts to show how much of an influence his brother had on him. Kinda like we head his voice at the beginning of episode 4

18. How many characters will cry (with tears)- who?

Literally everyone. Edvin and Omar said they wanted more drama in s2 and I think that’s exactly what we’re going to get. Everyone has a reason to cry lol

19. Will Simon and/or Wilhelm say ‘Jag älskar dig’ (if yes, who says it first- will they both say it)?

Yes, the both will, but Wille will say it first (again). It’ll take Simon a while to actually say it, but we already know he does love Wille

20. How many times will we see Simon eat pasta?

At least 3 and I will gag every time I see him eat it with ketchup (I’m being dramatic, but you get the point)

21. Who will have the first kiss in s2 (named characters)?

Realistically, Sara and August. If it’s not them I think we’ll get a flashback of a Wilmon kiss from s1, but that’s the only way I see Wille and Simon having the first kiss in s2.

22. Will Simon and Wilhelm have any PDA (if yes, which kind)?

Yes. Hand holding and a hug from behind. I think they’ll be too scared/ not ready to do anything beyond that.

My heart hopes for September, but I think it could be December.

2. What episode will Simon and Wilhelm have their first s2 kiss (who will initiate the kiss)?

In episode 2, Simon will initiate. I like the idea of a parallel between seasons. Episode one of season one was the longing and the build-up and episode two was when they gave in. I like the idea of that happening again.

3. How will Simon find out about August being behind the leak?

I'm thinking of a foot-in-mouth situation with August. Like he thinks Simon already knows, so he tries to make amends or something and he realizes a few minutes into his "well-prepared apology" that he has made a horrible, horrible mistake.

4. Will there be snow in s2?

I sincerely hope so.

5. Will there be any physical fight (if yes, who will be involved)?

If anyone fights, it will be August and Simon. Wille might try to break it up and get punched in the face accidentally. Maybe it will end up on the news or something.

6. Will Wilhelm abdicate?

No. At the most, he'll threaten to, but I think it is way too political and way too early in the series.

7. Will Wilhelm make a new public statement about his sexuality?

Yes, but not on purpose. I think the media is going to be really involved this season, and I think it might get twisted. Maybe they ask him something and he answers weirdly, or maybe he doesn't answer at all or takes too long, and they take it as a confirmation of his sexuality. IDK I think they're going to cause more problems this season.

8. Will there be introduced another queer character (can be a s1 character - if yes, who)?

Not for plot reasons. If they mention it at all, it will only be in passing. Maybe trans-alexander or bi Stella or something, but not for the plot.

9. Will Sara become a boarder student at Hillerska?

Yes and August will help.

10. Do we get a forehead kiss between Simon and Wilhelm (if yes, who kisses who)?

Yes, Wille will kiss Simon's head. However, I think it might be sad.

11. Will Simon and the queen exchange any words (if yes, who will speak first)?

Yes, I hope so. I think Simon will try to speak first but the queen will interrupt him (probably with some kind of insult or slur)

12. Will there be clothes exchange between Simon and Wilhelm (if yes, what item)?

While I do love the idea, I don't see it happening. Maybe a scarf, or a necklace, but nothing like a sweatshirt. Sorry. I just don't see it happening.

13. Will Sara speak any spanish?

I honestly don't see her speaking Spanish at all this season. Last season she only spoke it to the horses, not even to her mother and Simon. If she does, it will be to the horses or in a heated argument, but it is obvious that she is trying to distance herself from that part of her life.

14. Will Simon become aware of Wilhelm's anxity?

Yes, 100%. It will be hard not to considering that it is definitely going to get worse this season.

15. Will Wilhelm break the 4th wall at some point?

Yes, he will, but I am still holding out hope that Simon will get the honor this season.

16. Will Alex get some sort of revenge (if yes, how)?

No. I think he's far too kind. We might get him mentioned, or maybe they will be anxious that he'll come back and take them all down with him, but in reality, I think Alexander is done. If he comes back, I don't see him coming back with any kind of malicious intent.

17. Will Erik appear in any form (letter, flashback, etc.)?

I think he will be mentioned, but I don't think we'll get any scenes with Ivar. Unfortunately, I think his purpose has been served, and Erik is gone.

18. How many characters will cry (with tears) - who?

Simon, Wille, Sara, August, and Felice will all cry.

19. Will Simon and/or Wilhelm say 'Jag älskar dig' (if yes, who says it first - will they both say it)?

So Wilhelm will say it first, and Simon won't say it back. Then when he does say it back, Wille won't say it back. I am evil, live with it.

20. How many times will we see Simon eat pasta?

Probably 3

21. Who will have the first kiss in season 2 (named characters)?

Sara and August. For sure.

22. Will Simon and Wilhelm have any PDA (if yes, what kind)?

There will definitely be a hug. I don't know if we will get any more than that, though.

1. What month will season 2 be released? September 2022 (they announced season two on my birthday so I'm hoping its September because its like a gift to me lol)

2. What episode will Simon and Wilhelm have their first S2 kiss (who will initiate the kiss)? It depends on how many episodes are in this season, if they stick with 6 episodes at 45 minutes each then the end of episode 2. Simon will kiss Wilhelm.

3. How will Simon find out about August being behind the leak? Felice, her and Sara are friends and I think that maybe Felice will hang out with Sara at some point and Simon will be there and she’ll ask how he’s doing and it just comes out casually “August is such a dick for doing that” she doesn’t realise he doesn’t know, she doesn’t know that Sara knows.

4. Will there be snow in s2? Yes, but not the whole time, maybe just in the beginning 

5. Will there be any physical fight (if yes, who will be involved)? Maybe, I've talked about how I really want to know what happened to Wille at the fight that gets him sent to Hillerska and I think it would be interesting if there was another scene that is similar to that one but more detailed if that makes sense. Maybe Simon Punches August after he finds out

6. Will Wilhelm abdicate? No, at least not yet. He’s so young and I think there’s too much time for him to just quit when he could follow through and make big important changes

7. Will Wilhelm make a new public statement about his sexuality? No? I have a hard time picturing a public statement from Wilhelm about it, it feels to contradictory to the events that have already happened. I like the idea of sarcasm in response to accusations “I don’t even know what a boy is?” “Absurd, I would never wear that scarf” but I know that isn’t very realistic

16. Will Alex get some sort of revenge (if yes, how)? Not revenge but like, an update? I’d like to see him and Wille talk and we can see that Wille was right, Alex is at a school where he is treated better and has friends and it’s really no big deal.

18. How many characters will cry (with tears) - who? Simon, Wille, Sara, Micke
