PROS:

-absolute gentleman he will pick you up for nice dates and make sure you get home safe

-very patient and very willing to explain himself and repeat things to make sure you’re both on the same page. he also has curious facts to tell you about random weird things

-understanding and experienced, would never pressure you into anything, in any area

-you will never physically hurt because he’s a very skilled spirit healer

CONS

-locked in the circle, the chantry or templars may get in the way

-a very slow person who does things at his own rhythm and in his own way and it can be irritating for many

-forgets the stove is on and burns the food 9/10 times

-you will not get him to talk about his feelings

☼ : Childhood headcanon: I've never really thought in depth about Yri's childhood, only that he was really poor even by city elf standards and he was treated harshly even by his family - he was an only child -. I don't mean it like he was physically or psychologically abused, but treated more harshly than you should treat a little kid. So as a kid he wasn't really outgoing or sweet and it took him some years (after he came to the Circle, which was a way better environment for him than the alienage ever was) to start opening up and tap into his gentle side. That happened when he was a teenager so I can see him having a lot of emotional outbursts and kind of a confront~the~Chantry~and~the~Templars attitude, but in the end he understood that the Circle had done more good for him than bad, and while he still resents the zealot-ness of the Templars *cough*Avrum*cough* and the lack of freedom he's never actively fought it because he still remembers his childhood and the hardships he went through.

i knew you would appreciate and it makes me SO HAPPY <3

i'm publishing this in case anybody is interested: yri is average for an elf, which i consider around 1'55-1'60, and nino is RLLY TALL at 1'75 :D

yri looks so happy because he likes this lad, he is a fine young man who enjoys being alive and I WISH THEY WERE RELATIVES, like they would make the cutest uncle+nephew combo but sadly it's not happening

Five facts about Yri, because you know I'm in love with him. u_u

OH U

1-He started to grow his hair in his teens and never wore it short until his mid-thirties.

2-He wears pants under his robes (though he didn't use to, he started doing so when he was around 50).

3-He tans easily and it brings out his freckles, though he doesn't like sunbathing anymore, so right now he's kind of pale. He still enjoys the sun, though, and is happy if he's ever allowed to go outside for a walk.

4-He actually resents ser Avrum for being a cockblock, not only because he has been cockblocked by him, but because he thinks the students deserve to have some privacy and joy.

5-He's never tried to escape, and not even when he was young did he make plans to run away (well, he started making some at some point, but he abandoned them soon enough). Still, he wishes he was free, but isn't brave enough to act on it and he doesn't want to risk being sent to the dungeons in confinement or being made Tranquil. Or being killed.
