Young Royals Language Challenge
Ao3 supports over 70 languages. The Young Royals fandom has fanfictions in 4 of these languages. For this challenge, we're all going to work together to post Young Royals fics in as many different languages as possible!
How can you participate?
All you need is an ao3 account and a language. The word count requirement is 100+ words. Post your fic on social media with the hashtag #YRLanguageChallenge and post it to the AO3 collection linked at the end of this thread. We will check back in in three weeks (Sept 22)
Here are some ideas:
- Write a fic in your native language. If you're nervous or haven’t written a lot of fic before, it doesn’t have to be complex. Remember that if it’s in a different language most people in the fandom can't tell if its bad, we'll just be really impressed with you
- Write a fic in a language you are learning. You can send it to a friend in the fandom who is also learning the language. Writing is a great way to learn a language
- Translate an already existing fic into another language (make sure to ask permission from the author first)

Try! The internet is full of great fanfiction prompts and tips. Your fic doesn't have to be a masterpiece, it can be 100 words about Felice and Wille doing homework or something. Here are some links to writing prompts on Tumblr you can use. You don't have to use them, but if you can't think of anything they may come in handy.

Here is a list of every language on AO3. The young royals fandom has fics in English, Swedish, Italian, and Mandarin. pick a language you know and get writing! It doesn't matter if you pick a language someone else has already done, the more the merrier!
