“Unnie, I would never laugh at you!” the tone of indignation is watered down only by the incessant giggles that escape her lips; when laughter begins, it’s difficult to continue to converse without the incessant outbreaks that never fail to follow through. Her reaction is not to suggest that Somin’s words are any form of lie – she’s being honest when she says she’d never laugh at the elder, at least not with malice – and frankly, it wasn’t too difficult to evoke such a reaction from the younger idol.

Pressing her palm against her mouth, she fails to manually mute herself for the first few moments. In fact, the act of attempted suppression only worsens the case and tears spring into her eyes. But this is only momentary, and when the burning sensation of lungs desperate for air and gut aching from body-wracking mirth, she manages to somewhat compose herself once again.

Even though the statement was obviously of jesting nature, as always there is a sense of responsibility; Somin would ensure the senior knew that she fell into the latter category. “Of course I’m laughing with you unnie, you’re too funny—” It would be easy to construe her words to be almost sarcastic, so had she not possessed the sincerest of smiles one would have easily misinterpreted these words. 

Frankly, her standards for humour were quite low (it wasn’t such a bad thing, it just ensured more laughter within her life) and though the joke may have not been so funny, Somin’s reaction surely was.

there’s a nod of agreement, the smile on jiyeon’s face growing even more wider. she can say the same about herself - it isn’t everyday that she gets a free day after all and even though she’s technically wrapped up promotions and schedules, it didn’t mean she’s free to run off leisurely to her own accord. the beam settles temporarily on her lips, silence building when shiah asks the following questions. “the dorm might be rowdy right now and my family house is all the way in daegu.” it would come in handy to have her family living in the city at times like this but what is she to do but to settle for the dorms?  scratching a small patch of her lower lip, she adds, “your place - and mmm, i don’t know why but for some reason, i’ve been craving all the street foods in the world. deokbokki, fish cakes, fried potato chips - let’s cook everything!”
