im currently reading the dolphin paradox and i ADORE it (seriously!! its publishable quality forreal). i was wondering what your update schedule is like? how long might i have to wait with bated breath for another instalment?

Hiiii! First, thank you so much. I’m so happy you’re enjoying it. To answer your question, my goal was to post twice a week, but I’m averaging about every 4 days (last update was on the 15th and I should have an update tonight or tomorrow). I think I’ve been pretty consistent in that so far, give or take a day. This really depends on my schedule. But it’ll never go past a week between updates. I don’t have the patience for that.

That being said, I’m away in Chicago the end of March/beginning of April so there likely won’t be an update while I’m gone. It’s only a week, but I’ll make sure to leave a note. My goal is to have the story finished by the end of April at the latest.

Hope that gives you an idea. I can promise you 2 things. 1) I have never abandoned a WIP. and 2) I have never taken more than a week between updates. I have written at least a dozen >80K fics in my life. Probably more. Some of them pushing up near the 200K mark (this one will be 80K). So at the very least know that the story will get finished in a timely manner. :)

oh and in terms of headcanons - imo all ghouls have poor eyesight bc of the radiation damage but hancock especially. he basically cant see for shit which is why he favours a knife and a shotgun and he sticks so close to sole in their fabulous bright blue vault suit

I bet he’d be super self-conscious about wearing glasses.

Sole would steal his glasses while they were cuddled on the couch and put them on. “Jesus, John. How blind are you? These make my head hurt.”

its definitely to do w anatomy and stuff but its also to do w like.... the way u perceive adn recreate objects. weve trained ourselves to REALLY look at things before we draw them, and we see them as a collection of shapes and negative space, and then we draw what we actually see. untrained ppl draw what they THINK they see or expect to see. and thats when an arm becomes a tube w a right angle... check out Drawing from the Right Side of the Brain if u dont get what i mean

yeah the whole right/left brain thing is pure bullshit like its a complete myth, but i have read that and like the basic principle that we Look at things differently is true, tho its learned rather then being an innate thing
