I just want to drop few words as I played this series yesterday and so far I am amazed.
I played first ep only because I was bored and have nothing else to watch. Then after few minutes I was convinced! This have such a fresh feeling! This days most of dramas are repeated, just different cast. Nothing is suprising me really. But here we have this used before theme but with totally new vibe. I love it. And actors!
First- business proposal main lead🤣 then Park Jin from Alchemy of souls. One from 100 days my prince, one from Bad Prosecutor and few more! I was very surprised and happy.
I am at 3rd ep and have big expectations. The main lead actor seems promising. The comedy is my taste haha

Squid game ve All of us are dead dizilerinden sonra, sıra K-drama çukuruna düşmemize neden olan asıl diziye geldi. Bir webtoondan hikayesinden uyarlanan diziye ‘oo piti piti’ yaparak başlamış olsak da, şuan izlemiş olduğumuz bir çok dizi içinden sıyrılabileceğini rahatlıkla söyleyebilirim.
Dizi, dünyada dolaşmaması gereken kötü ruhları avlayıp ait oldukları yere yollamak ile görevli bir grup avcının hikayesini anlatıyor. Kendilerine Counter ismini takan bu grubun bilinen 5 üyesi var. Her biri farklı yetenekleri ile gruba katkı sağlarken diğer yandan da sıradan bir noodle dükkanı işletiyorlar. 5.üye bütün maddi konularla ilgilenirken diğerleri kovalama, yakalama kısımları ile ilgileniyorlar.
Hikaye 4’lüden bir tanesinin kötü bir ruhu yakalamaya çalışırken ölmesi ile başlıyor. Her birinin içinde yardımcı bir ruh var. İçinde bulundukları beden öldüğünde, yardımcı ruh yaşayabilmek için bedenden çıkıp yeni bir grup üyesi bulmak zorunda. Bu ruhlar istedikleri kişinin bedenine giremiyorlar. Özellikle komada ya da ölmek üzere olan bir insan seçmek zorundalar ve iki tarafında rızası olması önemli. Bu noktada ölen üyenin içindeki yardımcı ruh bir beden bulmak için şehrin üzerinde uçarken istemsizce bir liste öğrencisi tarafından çekiliyor.
Sonrasında lise öğrencisinin okul hayatı, aile hayatı ve arkadaşları hakkında detaylar öğreniyoruz. Ama bölümler ilerledikçe karakterin liseli olduğu unutulmaya başlanıyor. Bu dizide de kore dizilerinde bol bol değindikleri okuldaki zorbalıkları ve haksızlıkları görüyoruz.
Benim şahsen favorim başroldeki liseli yerine gruptaki bir miktar daha yaşı geçkin olan erkek oyuncuydu. Hem oyuncuyu hem de dizideki rolünü çok yerinde ve ölçülü buldum. Bir nevi grubun babası gibiydi. Onun bu havası izleyiciye bir araya gelmiş bu insanların bir gruptan ziyade aile oldukları hissiyatını veriyor. Bir de içine yardımcı ruh giren bu grup üyelerinin saçlarının bir anda kıvırcık olması komik bir dokunuş olmuş.
Bu dizi ile ilgili dişe dokunur bir eleştirim olmadı, sonuna kadar keyifle izledim. Bir hikayesi, anlattığı bir derdi vardı. Giriş gelişme ve sonucu sırasıyla, tane tane izledik. Tek eksiği, bence çok da eksik sayılmasa da, aşk meşk mevzusuna girmemeleriydi. Hikayenin gidişatından olsa gerek izlerken hiç aramadım. Bittikten sonra eksikliğini bir tık hissettim. Olurda 2.sezonu gelir ise mevzunun aşk üzerinde dönmesi yüksek ihtimal.
Son olarak dizinin kötü adamı, oyuncu anlamında da karakter gelişimi anlamında da çok başarılıydı. Saf kötülüğün vücut bulmuş hali olmasına rağmen, izleyici karakterin kötü olmadan öncesini merak ederken ya da neden kötü olduğunu sorgularken karakterde aynısını sorguluyordu.
Aldığı ödülle de aldığı övgüleri hakkettiğini kanıtlamış oldu.

After Squid Game and All of Us Are Dead, it’s time to talk about the series that truly plunged us into the K-drama rabbit hole. Although we started this webtoon adaptation with a bit of skepticism (or as we say, “oo piti piti”), I can confidently say it stands out among the many dramas we’ve watched so far.
The series tells the story of a group of hunters tasked with capturing evil spirits that shouldn’t be roaming the earth and sending them back to where they belong. This group, which calls itself the “Counters,” has five known members. Each contributes to the team with their unique abilities while also running a humble noodle shop. The fifth member handles all financial matters, while the others focus on chasing and capturing spirits.
The story begins with the death of one of the four main members while trying to capture an evil spirit. Each member has a helper spirit residing within them. When the host body dies, the helper spirit must leave and find a new group member to inhabit in order to survive. These spirits can’t just enter anyone’s body—they must choose someone who is either in a coma or on the verge of death, and both parties must consent. At this point, the helper spirit of the deceased member flies over the city in search of a new host and is unintentionally drawn to a high school student.
As the story progresses, we learn details about the student’s school life, family, and friends. However, as the episodes go on, the fact that the character is a high school student starts to fade into the background. Like many Korean dramas, this one also touches on themes of school bullying and injustice.
Personally, my favorite character wasn’t the high school protagonist but the older male actor in the group. I found both the actor and his role to be perfectly balanced and measured. He was like the father figure of the group, and his demeanor gave viewers the sense that these people were more of a family than just a team. Another amusing touch was how the hair of the group members suddenly turned curly after their helper spirits entered their bodies.
I don’t have any major criticisms of this series—I enjoyed it from start to finish. It had a solid story, a meaningful message, and a clear beginning, middle, and end. The only slight drawback, though not a significant one, was the lack of a romantic subplot. Given the flow of the story, I didn’t miss it while watching, but I did feel its absence a bit after finishing the series. If a second season comes, it’s highly likely that romance will take center stage.
Finally, the series’ antagonist was outstanding, both in terms of the actor’s performance and the character’s development. Despite being the embodiment of pure evil, the character made viewers curious about his past and the reasons behind his villainy. Even the character himself questioned why he became evil, adding depth to his role.
With the awards it has won, the series has proven that it deserves all the praise it has received.
“I ran into four people on the street today. A film producer, a director, a music director, and a student of mine. They’re all related to film. It all happened in twenty minutes. Isn’t that so strange?”
“It’s just a coincidence.”
“Nothing happened, but it’s still strange.”
“It happened to me too. Ran into someone three times in a day.”
“I can’t understand why it happens. But it’s very strange. I want to know the reason.”
“There is no reason. Random things happen for no reason in our lives. We choose a few and form a line of thought. Made by all these dots, which we call reason. For example... say I accidentally push this cup off the table. Why was my arm here right then? Why did I move that way? Countless coincidences operate behind this action. But we’re only concerned with the result. We make my clumsiness the reason. I am the reason, but I’m really not.”
“True. Too many coincidences behind it. And more are behind those.”
“We can’t help but make up reasons, but many untraceable forces are at work in reality. That’s probably why our actions are fallible and sometimes lead to disaster. I’m talking too much.”
