That’s actually the only drama that I started reading the webtoon, right after watching the series, since the story line is pretty incomplete.
Prince of Prince is a romantic comedy. Park Si-Hyeon is at the head of one of the biggest gaming company in Korea, MS. After five years in the States, he returns simply to find his beloved little sister completely changed. Yu-Na has become, since he left, an otaku completely obsessed by Secret Garden, a video game developed by Moo-Ryong. In the hope of getting his sister back, he’ll infiltrate Castlesoft to ruin Moo-Ryong.
Again, it will be a really short review, since it’s quite a short drama. As always, I tried to keep the review without spoilers, but stay careful while you read, something might have slipped.
For the plot I’ll start by saying that the dialogues are quite poor. I mean it’s not quite enjoyable if you want dialogues with deep meaning and a varied vocabulary with well-thoughts words. But, if you pass over that, the concept of the drama is quite nice. I mean, at first view the plot may appear quite typical and it’s true. It’s a really usual plot for boys love drama (I mean, the whole I’m going to lure him by acting gay and I end up falling for him is quite often used to bring two male characters together), but who cares. The drama is fine, but like it’s not a masterpiece, you know. The main problem with that drama is that the progression is really incomplete and it’s way too short. Like the end is way too open. The back story is left incomplete and it’s quite frustrating because it was so cool and thrilling and they shut it down too damn quickly. When I finished the drama, I just thought to myself that I had to read the manhwa if I wanted to know more about the story because there were so much questions unanswered. In other words, I’m going to be honest, if you can I think it would be better to simply read the Prince of Prince rather than watching this drama.
Because the drama is so short there isn’t much to say about the characters. The one I appreciated the more and seemed the more complex was Moo-Ryong (I’ll figure out a way to differentiate the two leads later), since he was at the center of the story, but was kept quite mysterious, but, since the drama didn’t allow it, he doesn’t undergo changes and doesn’t evolve. For Si-Hyeon he was okay, but often really annoying because he was acting in a really childish way (well a way proper to most of the male leads...). The last important character in the story is Yu-Na. I didn’t feel as if she was really developed, which is quite deceiving since she’s the main character of the webtoon and has some depth right at the start of it. In the drama she was mostly developed around her interactions with the boys, which wasn’t that great, but like I won’t complain. She has a pretty good relation with a brother and really has a good way to deal with what happen through the story between the two boys.
I’ll conclude here. I feel as if the story line would be worth a 8/10, but because of the really poor dialogues, I can’t give it more than 5/10 even though it doesn’t have length and isn’t that bad. The characters would be worth a 1/5. The tearjerker factor would be like a 0.5/5.
Yu-Na and her cat Tang-Tang
Tang-Tang has 0 survival instincts unlike his owner because he has been chewing on boiled chicken
A shitty mics post of memes you won't get
Sefyr hates everyone, especially Hae-Rin (since she's Jin-Woo's close friend)
And how the friends would act toward each other
The heart hand is not characters crush on eachother but its more of who would finish the heart, and the rest ignores the rule and Sefyr turned it into personal beef
Choi Yu-Na trying some smoke
Picking up Sefyr
Whatever the hell these are
Also to mention Shin (the blond fker) is not in love or a canon couple with Jin-Woo I just like to make shitty memes abt it
Kpop demon hunters except they were Creator x Creation characters
It's not rlly a crossover but more of cosplaying, it started from Shin because everything started from Shin
And I will pretend Shin wearing Zoey's clothes didn't make him looking like a gay stripper
I love derp Sefyr
Ngl Sefyr is so creature he fits the derp tiger in a way my soul traveled through 79294 light years
Bonus art of Hae-Rin and Jin-Woo using context of Creator x Creation
Also the words on Yu-Na's shirt has wonderful meaning in Korean I will let people figure it out themselves
Though I wouldn't recommend you using the word it is an extremely rude swear in Korean context which I will not use for anyone beside making my Ocs insulting eachother lol
