I've finally caught up with Frieren!! Have some highlights from my read:

Ok, now I want to ramble about this series cuz like omg I love it so much, but I'll be limiting it to just 11 points or else I might be unable to stop..

First of all, a moment of silence for all the sculptors who had to deal with Himmel.

I think one of the series' greatest strengths is it's characters. Everytime I find myself wanting to watch the next episode/read the next chapter ASAP, not because of the action but because of the characters: I want to know more about them and that feeling can only be invoked in the viewer/reader if the writer has put that much thought into it. I don't think I dislike any of the characters really.. Stark or Himmel might be my favorite thou..

The worldbuilding, pacing, story are all great and it manages to also keep me interested so much that I can't wait for the next chapter to come already (about a couple more days it seems)

Now I'll just talk about random characters, plot points, just stuff I like..

I like the series' take on the concept of fear and bravery, idk, it never fails to amaze me whenever it comes up.

Also Heiter and Eisen are the best foster dads PERIOD.

I know in the first image I talked about Fern's gigantic borger, but actually the entire trio just have one hell of an appetite, LORD.

Also, huge fan of Frieren alternating between being the granny and the baby of the group lmao

The Goddess's monument arc is the best arc so far BTW. Just everything about it is chef's kiss X3

I also love the dynamics in the series as well, both romantic and platonic ones!!

The anime adaptation is fantastic btw, it truly understood the assignment. Can't wait for season 2!! The mini anime is very cute :3

And finally, the current ongoing arc in the manga is just so engaging, I'm a huge fan of stories where a large group of people have to work together, not to mention me literally screaming when Sein came back lol. I'm thinking of making 'new chapter thoughts' kind of posts everytime a chapter comes out. Who knows? Maybe I will :)
