Hello! It's been a long time :). I was curious if you have been following the new work of Sakura Jun? I've read some of it, but my japanese it's no that good yet haha

Hi there~

I'm not following it closely yet as there doesn't seem to be an English scanlation (and I just don't have the time to translate it myself >.<), but I've been taking peeks now and then! It seems very cute, and a potentially interesting spin on the isekai genre.

I'm not sure it'll be for me in the end (I'm not much of a game show person), but I'm just so relieved that the author's active again! Seeing the Japanese fans I follow celebrating their return out of the blue felt like a miracle.

As a slight aside, Yugami-kun also received a digital magazine release recently and seems to have been very well received! It continues to attract new readers even now. With this, I continue to hold out hope for an anime...!!!

I like to read tweets from the Japanese perspective. I find it funny how foreign fans also consider Laois a freak and a bit off. Yugami kun is different because he's a Japanese high school student in a realistic setting and not a fantasy manga. He might be annoying and really frustrating to understand to other people just like Laois but he doesn't come off as off-putting.

Both are definitely autistic.

Inktober Day 8: Watch

Chihiro and Yagami are watching rakugo. This is one of my favorite events in the story.

Been holding a reread of the series on r/Yugami on Reddit and just adore the chapter pages for the Severed Ties arc that was just completed.

A fantastic arc (Ch 56-58) that kept the characters true to themselves even when it would be easier to make Yugami change out of nowhere. Even the author was stressing about the arc and changed the end of chapter 58 to better suit the characters at the very last minute.

The chapter covers tell a lot of our hero and heroines in this arc. Chihiro's troubled feelings after her rash act shows that she values Yugami more than she thinks while Yugami is deep in thought about the incident, subtly changing and caring even if he doesn't show it.
