“will you ever pick?” pick. that word left you in a state of confusion for the past week—and you decided that it was best to ignore the two freaks. at least you thought that was a good idea.. until, *tap* *tap* eyes widening, your body moved slowly toward the window but what you had seen next was nothing shocking. todoroki and his weirdly annoying ‘best friend’ next to him. the two men stared at you—yuken lifting his hand to wave with that usual smirk across his lips. he reeked of arrogance everytime you seen him. opening the window, you were the first to speak. “why are you here? If my parents find out they’ll kill you both.” yuken’s smile didn’t drop. not even a flinch. todoroki? it was harder to read him. his face was more.. serious. you had a crush on him.. for a while now and it was embarrassing. you couldn’t ever tell him—or anyone else. “can’t you come with us to the store? just a quick trip, that’s all. we miss you.” yuken was handsome. he was sweet to you and even put himself at risk just to protect you from senomon.
you didn’t say anything for a few seconds while the two stared, curious as to what you would end up deciding on. “10 minutes! that’s it.” and you shut the window. throwing on one of your favorite sweaters, you hurried out of your room, “I’ll be back! I forgot my bag at the convenience store.” and you turned, seeing the slight nod of approval from your mom before blowing her a kiss and running towards the two idiots, pushing them away from your house. “don’t show up here like that again. okay? my parents would lock me away for the rest of my life..” a groan left your lips as you crossed your arms and walked in the middle of the two larger men. yuken smirked. his arm wrapping around your shoulder and pulling you into his side, “I don’t bite.”
the thing was.. he didn’t have to bite. your parents had been so overprotective over you since you were born and seeing you run off with two strange men would end up being the worst nightmare they’ve ever experienced and you didn’t want that. at least not now. “where are we really going?” once you had passed the 7/11 they would always take you to—awkwardness surrounded you. “listen—” but todoroki stopped you. his large body now in front of you, looking down at your precious face that he adored so much. “we both like you.” and there it was. that’s why yuken asked you to pick. that’s why the ignoring them path completely failed and every single night they would bother you, asking you to climb out of your window to see them. you don’t.. until tonight that was. “who are you going to pick?” yuken let out a soft chuckle and came up to stand next to his best friend.
“why can’t she pick both?” both. both? why would you have two boyfriends? that’s unacceptable! right? to pick both of them was.. or—it felt wrong. weird. how could you possibly do that. “y-you guys are so weird.”
and as you walked forward to get past the both of them, yuken stopped you. his firm hand on your wrist before it slid down to hold your hand. his hand was warm and it felt safe—safe. you wanted to pull away so badly but your body wouldn’t let you. it was already so embarrassing. why did it have to be you in this weird situation? todoroki moved once more and this time even closer to you. his right hand coming up to push the hair that had been covering your face out of the way. it wasn’t fair to him, why? he’s liked you for far much longer. he was there before yuken. slowly you looked up at him and he gave you a soft smile. a smile that felt genuine and warm. he leaned forward and for a second you thought the oddest thing was about to happen but it didn’t—instead? the next oddest thing happened. todoroki placed a gentle kiss to your cheek before whispering, “pick me.” and you moved slightly.
“c-can I go home now? it’s already weird enough that we’re standing in the alleyway. makes us look weird.” yuken chuckled again. “why are you so cute?” you felt your stomach drop. not in a bad way. actually? there was no explanation for how it felt. you just knew it wasn’t in a bad way. “can we share you?” yuken was blunt. he annoyed you because of that. your eyebrows furrowed and you pulled away from him, “is that how you both see me? like a piece of meat..?” todoroki sighed, “way to go moron.” but yuken didn’t say a word. he was serious—of course he was. “you’re not a piece of meat. not at all but.. it’s frustrating. either pick me and allow him to move on or pick him and allow me to move on.” todoroki rolled his eyes and reached for his glasses, taking them off. he was handsome with and without his glasses but.. so was yuken. his long hair that was pulled back in that low ponytail always made you feel shy—it sounded ridiculous. “both is weird..”
is all you said before pulling away from the two men. walking forward and taking a seat on the small bench nearby. both of them followed behind quickly, always by your side. especially around these alleyways. it wasn’t the safest for you. they knew that. “instead.. why don’t we go on dates. separate and then maybe.. i can pick?” yuken’s eyes widened and he aggressively nodded his head. “sounds great! although.. I didn’t mind the sharing part.” “shut up!” you whined. it was so annoying. he was annoying but he was so.. good to you.
todoroki sat down next to you and allowed his arm to wrap around your shoulder. you fell instantly—right in place and cuddled up to his side. this wasn’t the first time you both had been in this position. you didn’t mind it at all. it felt safe. safe. just how you felt with yuken. “you both are driving me crazy. what am I going to do?” but it was silent. for the first time yuken had nothing to say and todoroki? shut his eyes. resting his head against the cold wall behind you both.
