“Listen to your minds and bodies and polish carefully,” Haiji said and so everybody did, including Yuki who once was so opposed to participating in the Hakone Ekiden relay race.

He was so deep in thought that he doesn’t notice his phone ringing.

However, we see who’s calling.

母親 or haha oya aka his mother but there’s more behind that word.

haha oya literally translated means “mother-parent,” which has a very scientific connotation. You can refer to your mother as haha oya when you’re talking about her, but the same goes for mothers of animals, yeah... It’s like calling your mother the “child birther” haha

So, saving your mom under that name on your phone already shows to others who might catch a glimpse of your phone the cold, distant, and not-so-good relationship you have with your mom.

I don’t recall how or if Yuki addressed his mom later in the episode but if he didn’t, my guess is that he’d call her okaa-sama, the title that shows the most respect but also the biggest distance between mom and kid.

Yoo can I get a scenario where (separate ones for each boy pls) Seiya from tsurune and Yuki from run with the wind s/o wakes up one night scared & such bc when they woke up Seiya and Yuki weren’t in the bed (he like got up to get water or something random) but the s/o thought he left so starts crying & worrying then they comes back to comfort them & hold them & assure them he’d never leave?? Thank you so much; your blog is truly wonderful.

Yukihiko Iwakura

Your day couldn’t have gotten any worse.

After receiving the worst news, and failing miserably at tasks that you usually would excel at, all you wanted was to be home, rolled in a blanket and in the presence of Yukihiko — the only man on the planet that could ease your nerves as easily as he could irritate him.

You thought a nap would ease you of your worries, and help ebb away the black cloud of the day, so when you fell asleep on his chest you were excited to wake up in a few hours, lighter and happier.

But more than a few hours passed, and when you finally woke, you were alone.

Typically it wouldn’t bother you, knowing that Yuki has to have some type of movement every few hours. But this time it broke you, the idea of being alone after the day you had was too much, especially when you looked forward to waking up with him earlier.

Careful to keep your cries quiet, you curled yourself back into the blanket, your hand covering your mouth as the intensity of your crying shook your body.

Yukihiko caught on instantly to the quaking of your body the moment he stepped back into the room and made a beeline back to you.

Without a word, he took you into his arms, climbing onto the bed and pulling the majority of you body into his lap.

“I’m sorry for leaving,” he whispered against the crown of your head. “You should know I wouldn’t leave you like that.”

And you did, but today made you so incredibly vulnerable that all you wanted was to be with him, no interruptions.

Yuki understood that now and happily obliged, willing himself to staying with you for as long as you needed.

“I’m not going anywhere, alright?”

That promise was all you needed to find yourself quickly ebbing away into the peace of sleep.

“I promise.”

Seiya Takehaya

Scary movies are definitely not your thing.

You knew that when you agreed to watch one with Seiya right before bed, when the craziest thunderstorm raged on outside.

You thought you could totally handle it, and if Seiya stayed by your side for the rest of the night, then this scary movie could have no effect on you.

But when a thunderclap woke you up in a stir, straight from a nightmare that stemmed from the ending of the horror movie, the last thing you’d want to come to realize was that you were in bed alone — Seiya was no where in sight.

Curling deeper into the blanket, your eyes clapped shut, you struggled to keep your heartbeat at bay.

The horror movie definitely can’t be emulating in real life, right?

There was no way, so why could you feel hot tears spill down your cheats when you finally opened them, your bedside still cold and empty, and the bedroom still dark as ever, save for the few flashes of lightening that shone through the window.

You let out a quiet gasp when the bedroom door creaked open, a figure standing in the shadows.

Pulled the blanket over your head, you shuddered as you heard footsteps approaching only for the blanket to soon be gently tugged away from you.

“Hey…”

It was Seiya, his voice soft but worried as he climbed into bed in a hurry, his hands quickly finding their way around your body.

“Hey, whats wrong?” He was sure to keep his voice low in an effort to keep from frightening you even more. “You’re okay, just look at me.”

Your heart was calming from the moment you felt his weight dip the surface of the bed, but the warmth that came from his body and how tightly he held you in his warms helped to wash you free of any fear that you had.

You couldn’t bare to look up at him though, and just opted for the comfort he gave you as he held you, whispering quiet promises to never leave again in the night.

Scary movies definitely aren’t your thing, but gentle hugs and quiet affirmations from Seiya definitely add them worth it.
