Deck Your Yule Tree with Crystals!
I decided to add a special something to my tree this year, and it has all the best vibes: crystals! They are light enough to tuck in almost anywhere, and add a little extra sparkle to the holiday lights! And best of all, they're hella easy to make!
You'll need to get strings of crystal "beads" at a craft store (I got mine on sale at Michael's), large-link necklace chain, and either some big rings (those pictured were in the jewelry section) or fishhook earrings to hang them with.
Open a link in the chain wide and insert the ends into the holes in either side of the crystal (this is why we get them as beads, yo). If your chain is too thick, you can just get some thin wire to do this instead.
It helps to have some pliers to squeeze it in nice and tight, and sometimes the link needs to be bent a little to go into the holes in the right angle.
Then, measure off a few links for however long you want this little ornament to hang, and open the link to separate it from the rest of the chain. Then close the link around the ring or in the earring.
Boom. Crystals to swag up your tree. 💎🎄💎
Blessed Yule, Y'all.
