Botanically-accurate Yule log cake 2025 reveal: Shagbark hickory with chicken of the woods, puffballs, green-stain, and rhizomorphs of honey mushroom that didn't show up well in this photo. Orange cake, cranberry filling, chocolate ganache and chocolate shags. I'd wanted to make a shagbark log for like 10 years now and it turned out great!

Yule Happy Yule!! This was probably the hardest illustration to do because of all the lighting and perspective layout haha, but this was great practice on complex interior design :D There are LOTS of secrets in this that allude to the upcoming chapter of the game. This year's yule log seems extra sus... 🤔🪵🎄 I was already planning to make a Sudowoodo yule log cake this year (but with string lights like the cake pop version I made in 2021), so when I saw this year's costume Sudowoodo in Pokémon GO I knew I had to match that design!

Added some festive lil Bonsly cookies so Sudowoodo could be surrounded by family for the holidays too 🥹
