Yume Crush #2 - The World Ends with You's Mitsuki Konishi

Recent events have forced my hand once again, because I thought I was over her but nope. Thanks to recent rumblings again I was reminded.

This one will be a little shorter probably, but here goes.

So...Konishi...

A main antagonist of the game she comes from, along with one of the most dangerous if you couldn't tell by just looking at her. Office lady with glasses + blonde = danger.

Unfortunately there isn't much for her as she appears quite late in the story, and due to TWEWY's 'villain of the week' type deal, she's dealt with semi-swiftly...but she still left an impact on me in that short time somehow.

She's cunning, manipulative, and by all accounts...evil. She's motivated purely by her own self interest and survival, to the point she's called out as focusing too much on her mind and not her heart. Her cruelty and passive demeanor isn't exactly a secret either, as she's known as 'the Iron Maiden' to even her fellow Reapers.

So, that's a loaded package...believe me I know but...

Sometimes you just gotta bend the knee to an evil chick, what can I say? And that's how it would have stayed. Well...that was the plan at first...until a certain somebody poisoned my brain with ideas again.

To prevent this from turning into a 'TWEWY yume headcanon' post... My friend basically posited an 'I can fix her' type deal (that's the best way I can describe it). Which...given how well they know the characters and game...I'm tempted to believe would be possible... Hell, the possibility could be given in game itself with that remark about 'focusing too much on her mind and not her heart'...so...

Fuck...

Healthy dose of angst too, given it would be doomed because she dies in the first game.

She has that unique circumstance where she has a solid framework...but not much beyond that due to her being a villain of the week (literally). So...alot can be inferred, interpreted, and molded, while also sticking to what was established. And my friend wants me to take full advantage of that...

And given my track record...I don't think I have much chance at resisting this time like I did before in 2021 when I first saw her.

I...really need to stop falling for these kinds of tricks...
