“Something told me you were in here” Rook smiled as they leaned against the door frame of Auron’s Office. “You know.. some people would argue it’s weird for the CEO to not be at his companies party.” They continued.
“Rook, you know I would just make them uncomfortable.. you are aware I’m not exactly buddy buddy with anyone else in the office? The only people I can stand to talk to is you, Trish and whoever I absolutely have to when I get a call.” Auron retorted, turning his gaze away from the window.
Rook jumped off of the door frame and walked on over beside him. “That doesn’t exactly change if you never leave your office!” They teased. “And It’s not like I want it to..” Auron chuckled while wrapping his hands around Rook’s waste as they leaned into his touch.
“Are you aware It’s almost midnight?” Rook smirked. “Why should that bother me??” Auron feigned ignorance. “Um because I want a new years kiss!” Rook explained while putting a heart to their chest to pretend to be more upset than they were.
“10, 9..”
The countdown from the staff downstairs began to echo through the halls.
“8, 7, 6..”
“Well aren’t I the lucky one.” Auron smirked while Rook just hummed in delight.
“3, 2, 1!!”
“Happy new years Auron”
