In the corner of the club room, Sayori sits on the floor in between Yuri and Natsuki as they both rant to her about the books they're reading. Holding it up, Sayori exclaims something about the beautiful cover art of Natsuki's manga, and Yuri mutters in agreement.

From the teacher's desk across the room, Monika taps her pen against the desk, chin resting in her other hand. Monika's eyes don't leave Sayori, who is ignorantly rambling on with her friends, a big grin plastered on her face.

That's weird. Have her eyes always been such a bright shade of blue? It's sort of hard to look away from... 

Sayori catches Monika's gaze, her smile unbroken.

"Moni! I didn't mean to make you feel left out! do you wanna join us? Yuri's trying to get Natsu and I into her favorite book, and I'm so planning on giving it a read!"

"Ah, no thanks, Sayori. We just established the club, and I have quite a bit of paperwork to complete." She holds the documents up for Sayori to see, flashing her an apologetic smile. 

"You want help?" Sayori proposes.

"No, that's okay. I'm glad the literature club has been something you girls are enjoying so far." Monika waves her hands. "I can't wait to hear about the book when I'm done, Yuri!"

Yuri smiles bashfully, darting her gaze.

"Hey, what about my book?! You should take advantage of my willingness to share, y'know!"

Monika giggles, her chin resting in both her hands.

"I can't wait to hear all about that manga of yours too, Natsuki! The art on the cover is gorgeous."

"It is! And the art on the inside is just as good! When you combine that with the writing, its just..."

"Alright Natsu, lets not disturb Monika," Yuri says gently. Natsuki's face goes beetroot, and she clutches the book to her chest, looking at the ground.

"Whatever! Well..." Natsuki digs in her small pink backpack. "If Miss Monika shouldn't be disturbed, then I guess shes not interested in these cupcakes I brought!"

Monika lifts her head to look at Natsuki. "I'm always interested in your cupcakes, silly. I swear, each time they're better than the last, and I definitely need a cupcake break." Monika lets out a chuckle, setting down her pen.
