DMC Period Headcanon - For that one Anon

I’ve seen you post to @la-vita and @minteyeddemon and a couple others I can’t remember

Maybe you’re not the same person going around hoping for different reactions (something I’ve done), maybe you are. This is for you because I know how it goes hitting THAT TIME and just wanting some fluff and love.

Considering I can feel my own Menstrual-Cycle on its way, I’m going to go ahead and write this.

V

Poetry or reading out loud in general? On it. Drawing his S/O a hot bath? Check. Summoning Shadow to be a giant heating pad, Griffon for comic relief, getting anything he can for the pain, tea or coffee, wrapping them up in blankets...V is the best caregiver ever. 

No running for craving snacks because that’s been done already. He’s the type to have their cycle memorized and pre-planned.

Sex he’s careful and cautious, but he doesn’t mind if that’s what you need.

Vergil

He’ll take care of his S/O from craving runs to making sure there are heating pads and basically makes a nest for them to hunker down in while they’re miserable. He’ll read to them much like V, but he’s much quieter. Pets their hair. Makes them tea or coffee to sooth the soul. Less in-tune with how long between, but more aware of how long they last.

He’ll have to be convinced to have sex, probably ends up with them on top so they can control the pace and everything. Immediate soothing hot shower afterward then back in the nest.

Kyrie

This girl takes birth control because let’s be real, sex with Nero is amazing and she just wants to enjoy all of him whenever they want to, and since they’re not ready for a kid yet she’s cool with it.

As soon as she gets off of birth control to start trying?  Hot. Flashes. Ugh. She ends up in the lightest dress she has and when she gets chilled she has a knitted/crochet blanket around her shoulders she’ll drag on or violently throw off because all of the sudden her skin’s just too hot damn it. 

Definitely drinks tea.

Sex during her period isn’t really a thing, though she does get pretty horny sometimes anyway and on those times she prefers to do it in the shower or she’ll masturbate to take the edge off because of cramps and fuck that.

Yvette

Considering her body doesn’t accept birth control, just not handling it well, she suffers a period at varying levels of pain.

Sometimes she needs pain patches, sometimes she can get by on pain pills. Sometimes she’s crippled and curling up on the bed/couch with a heating pad.

With her S/O she’d drag them into watching movies and TV shows with her, “Netflix and Chill”, beg them for whatever she’s craving between sweet or salty (brownies and ice cream are best for sweet, just chips for salty). As soon as she has whatever it is she wants she’s good. The first two days are the worst, sometimes third, but from 3-5 she’s acting like normal.

Because of the 3rd day thing she’s more often than not good having sex again. 

Trivia for those who don’t know, though this is also from MY experience - If you’re turned on enough after a certain point there won’t be much if any blood and sex will be fairly normal (any blood is more residue, but bleeding temporarily stops when having intercourse) though it might be a bit dry if you use a tampon so lube is necessary. It will come back after at least 10 minutes/when you go to the bathroom next.

Also always be mindful of the pain, things are a bit extra sensitive. Most comfortable position is more likely going to be Doggy/sprawled on your stomach that way your thighs and body won’t be compressed.

Still always have a towel.

This man oozes confidence. So if you can match that and meet him step for step he’ll definitely keep his eye on you.

My V also thoroughly enjoys LOTR and Harry Potter, so could talk to him for days about either of them. If you speak Elvish and can be really elegant, you might steal his breath away

Speaking of elegant…forgot to mention this for Vergil but like, dude. Both Vergil and V will ballroom dance you into next week! V loves dancing with Kyrie just to have some fun. He’ll also dance in the rain!

Unlike Vergil, he doesn’t mind loud talkers. I mean, he has Griffon, but I established that it’s because the silence can get to him sometimes. Griffon fills that void. Fast talkers can throw him for a loop sometimes but just…give him an extra minute to process what you’ve said and don’t be upset if he didn’t catch something and asks you to repeat. 

Unless he’s in the middle of reading something really good, as long as you capture his attention first he’ll focus completely on you. Unless he’s fighting. Then he’s solely focused on the fight and hyper-focuses on it, won’t even let you fret on him until after everything’s dead. After the fight? Fret all you like, he will actually enjoy it. He doesn’t like being coddled, but he likes being taken care of.

V also likes to just…sit in your presence and observe you or read and let the moment be for hours. If you’re okay with that and don’t feel the need to fill a void that isn’t there, then kudos!

Kyrie

I love her, okay? Just…adore this precious cinnamon roll

She’s been through so much and still stuck with Nero at the end of everything.

Her heart is so pure and so strong. I stan her.

Don’t trifle with her, though, everyone agrees on that

When Nero says ‘Kyrie always makes too much’ I mean this girl cooks like she’s cooking for an army because I headcanon the Sparda men have black holes for stomachs and if there can be leftovers for Nero to take on the road it makes her happy.

Want to woo her? Just…she’ll know you like her cooking when you clear your plate and she’ll also know if you eat it just to be polite. 

This girl is classic romance, candlelight dinners, slow dancing, soft touches, loving kisses, movies and cuddles on the couch, though she loves Nero’s quirky shyness and they can be shy sweet beans together ok!

Yvette is a silly bean!

Loves to laugh and will not be afraid to have one of those super loud obnoxious belly laughs. Genuinely enjoys Dante’s jokes.

Don’t get in her way when she starts cleaning man, don’t do it

She likes simple things, actually. A movie out, a ‘Netflix and chill’, flowers just because, eating at Freddi’s, a stargazing date or a cloud watching date

She’s been hurt before, however, because she’s been told she’s too much. Too clingy, too weird, too this, too that. She hugs a lot, she does drive-by kisses when you’re established, PDA/hand-holding, and she will tell you “I love you” every chance she gets and to her, it never loses the meaning. She’s been told not to because it ‘loses it’s meaning over time’ and she just…doesn’t believe that.

Also not a virgin, but uh…acts like it because she just feels so strongly and every other time she’s given herself to someone they’ve hurt her one way or another, so she just…gets scared

RB!Dante

Still a fairly new muse for me, but hey, we’re trying to get a feel for each other.

A lot more feral than my Vergil is, the more nasty kind of cat that would rather bite and scratch first and most would say put him down.

But don’t. Keep trying. He’s been scorned way too many times and has Major Trust Issues. Your persistence will annoy him, but as long as you’re genuine he can see it in your eyes.

If you can meet his eyes you’ll gain respect points, though if you’re shy he’ll think it’s cute too.

Call him on his bullshit, he’ll be stunned enough you can talk to him without him snapping. Yet, don’t be rude and nasty when you do. He won’t respond well.  Use it to catch his attention.

Banter with him and laugh at his dumb jokes. Again tho, be sincere. He’ll know and he’ll appreciate it.

After doing a bunch of character aesthetics, I’ve learned he’s also truly a Soft Boi™ and once you survive that growling surface, you’ll see it glowing through in the form of picking wildflowers to maybe give to you, scuffing his feet shyly and rubbing his nose, maybe bumping shoulders and you know if he’s averting his eyes he’s into you and being cute.  

^ Do. Not. Tease. Him. ^ He will clam up and shut off to you all over again. It hurts and he shows his hurt violently and with gnashed teeth. (Addendum - once you’re well established teasing is fine he’ll know you enough to know it’s in good fun)

Isn’t opposed to makeup, interestingly enough. If you’re in the store together and you pick up a stick of lipstick and say “I think this would look good on you” he’d go “yeah? let’s try it” and he’ll even let you put it on, same with eyeliner, though he finds colored liners more entertaining he’ll def be down for a classic bold winged look in black. 

^He’d be the boyfriend in those “boyfriend does my makeup” challenge videos and is Good At It where when he’s done he’ll straight up tell you he doesn’t want you to post it because you look smokin’ and he’s a greedy/jealous boi

Vergil clicked his tongue, “Hmm…Someone who knows how to back off when I’m not willing to interact, but will know that doesn’t mean leave entirely. Stay, but don’t press. Understand I will come to you. I don’t trust easily, so give me time. Someone who isn’t loud an obnoxious.”

V gave a slow smirk, “A type, you say? Hmm…Someone who will speak poetry back at me is always fun. Not a requirement, but a nice change of pace. Certainly someone who won’t mind sitting together curled up with blankets and pillows reading in silence for hours. I tend to trust my instincts, so appearances have very little to do with my type. If I get an odd vibe, I will be standoffish. If I like you, you will know. I can be sarcastic and confident and sometimes that puts people off. If you can play and banter in return then I will be intrigued.”

Kyrie, “Nero is my type, no one else is for me!” she cheered with a giggle.

RB!Dante “Ugh, a type? Do I really have to pick? I dunno. If I’m pickin’ up someone for a night then I guess I like decent tits and for dudes it depends on my mood, if I want to be dominant or if I wanna fight for who’s toppin’. If it’s…an actual…relationship?” he shifted, uncomfortable and uncertain, “Someone who listens to me and…ya know, gets me? Not someone who agrees with everything I say but like, I can be pissy about something or upset and they’ll know what’s up without me having to say much. Appearances for a type? Dark hair, bright eyes…you can tell everything by someone’s eyes and if they’ll meet yours. If you can’t stand toe to toe with me then fuck off.”

Yvette tapped her finger to her chin. “I have a good sense of humor and love smiling and laughing but I know that can be a lot for some people. If it brightens your day to hear me laugh, then that’ll make me happy in return. I am a fairly simple, easy person to please. Once I get permission for anything, from touch to kisses to hugs, I will do all of that quite often, so someone who doesn’t like that won’t be for me. I will also tell them “I love you” as much as I can or want to, too. It doesn’t lose meaning for me. I don’t want it to lose meaning for them, either.”

💕 -Why not all of them?

V is pleased and holds his cane under the handle in order to give you a proper one in return, regardless of height. His hugs may be soft and gentle, but full of so much warmth at being shown affection.

Kyrie makes an ‘aawww’ sound and hugs you around the shoulders, rocking you happily.

Vergil is tense and confused should a stranger hug him, if a bit off-put and won’t give one back, but if it’s someone he knows the tenseness is only for a short moment before he returns it with one strong arm and a pat on the back.

Yvette is giddy and bubbly about it and gives you a hug with much enthusiasm and similar warmth to Kyrie and V. She’s grinning like an idiot and is pleased as punch.

Vergil grunts and shrugs a shoulder, “I enjoy things with a citrus flavor. Orange, lemon, things of that nature.”

Kyrie beamed brightly, “I like cream-filled things and chocolate! Frosting and swiss rolls and stuff like that!”

With a tap of his chin, V hummed thoughtfully, “I would have to say I prefer anything that’s dark chocolate. I do not particularly have a preference for flavors.”

With an arched brow, RB!Dante sunk his teeth into a snickers bar and crunched away.

Yvette gave a thumbs up, “Granola bars! Love chocolate chips mixed with sweet oats. Picky on my brands, though. Special K™ and Quaker™ for the win.”
